What I don’t get about Owen with JP (and Blonde with JP) is that he’s said many times he doesn’t consider himself to be on the political right. He tries to be a centrist, and he’s right on some issues and left on others. His main schtick is that he’s obsessed with totalitarianism and wants people to be able to spot it. I think a lot of people wanted JP to be on the political right on every issue (for good reason) but he’s never claimed as much.

The reason people thought he was on the right was because he’s against communism. We live in a political climate where denouncing communism puts you on the right side of the spectrum
