I think it all depends on the situation. A wife shouldn’t get a dime of what was made, or in the process of being made before the marriage. However, if a wife (or husband for that matter) sacrificed years of career development in the interest of the couple as a whole (as is often the case) then it stands to reason that she’s due some compensation from the gains that otherwise wouldn’t have been made without her sacrifice.
