Some can, sure. But some just can't, and those people that aren't treatable should be executed.
How do you know who isn't treatable?
How do you know for sure all can't be treated in the future eventually?
What evidence is there to suggest that? Simply because they're immoral?
@Deleted User why waist human resources when they can be used in a camp
I don't personally know that. But the psychiatric professionals analyzing them do, and their judgment should be taken into account. Unfortunately not everyone is treatable and most people understand this, especially medical professionals.
Not currently treatable.
But if we keep advancing then it's a good possibility we can help them better.
Even they know that.
@Firefly That's not a bad idea tbh. Forced hard labor should always be an option.
Again, this shouldn't be about vengeance.
This should be about punishment and rehabilitation only.
Morals are of course very needed and necessary in law and politics. But we need to make sure we go by the correct sort of morals.
And vengeance is not correct.
agreed
This is why society is complicated though. How do you know what morals are correct.
As vengeance is what drives many of these killers in the first place.
I don't. That's why I rely on other people's morals to strengthen my morals.
Either way I highly doubt I'll truly know what is right and wrong same with anyone in the world simply because morals aren't just black and white all the time.
You clearly ascribe to a different theory of justice than I do. I don't believe this has anything to do with vengeance and I ascribe to the retributive theory.
Vengeance hidden under the name of justice. How unfortunate.
Completely bastardizing the sacred word.
Either way it doesn't seem necessary.
Even dressing it up.
It's far too pessimistic for humanity.
This theory dates to ancient times and has been advocated for by numerous cultures and peoples. Idk what you mean by "sacred word".
Justice.
Of course it dates to ancient times.
What seems just to you is criminal to another.
You have a very idealistic view of humanity. I take a more realistic approach.
Then have me executed.
So we all can agree on rehabilitation program and a bonus labor camp option?
Have you slaughtered innocent people and is the wiring in your brain irreparable?
It's realistic to acknowledge that humanity advances.
Who knows?
I might as well would.
Either way I find it idiotic and pointless to add more to bloodshed.
Idealistic or not.
