The problems with the EPR ("new" powerplant) is that they've cheapened out and used romanian contractors that did a shit job and now they have to spend billions to fix it

We had a referendum on the second Rome treaty in 2004, we voted no with 56% of the votes, so those assholes just remade a treaty in 2007 that was pretty much the same and just passed it through the chambers without asking the people
Also the no won despite 71% of media coverage was in favour of the treaty
