@Krisemann I am forever annoyed and perplexed by the way calendar, astronomic and meteorologic winter don't align.

Like, it's the last season of the year... but 2/3 of it take place in the next one. Astronomically it doesn't even begin until its second to last week in the year! But meteorologically, it should (at least in theory, haven't had a proper winter like that in a decade) start sometime in november.
