It's described that there will be great weeping and gnashing of teeth, so it'll be horrible. Most important is that it is eternal separation from God until the Lake of Fire when Jesus comes again-where it will again be separation from God.

Honestly, I don't see how some Orthodox Bishops see hell as temporary

everything I can find makes it pretty clear that Hell is eternal

That’s their individual perspectives, though I’m sure they’d likely explain why in full.

But remember that the core tenet is that God does not send you to Hell, you send yourself to it.
