Are we bringing tiki torch oil, or whatever it's called? It's been awhile since I've lit one. Don't they require some fluid inside, and a wick?
No oil required. They run on positivity and great attitudes
@rustysp00n I guess it depends on what kind of torch you buy
Some have oil some don't.
Some have a candle of some kind. The one I have uses oil. But if you are truly a member of the most superior race you do understand that a fuel is required to make it burn π
@b-luccason Archive VICE next time

Something occurred to me while buying a burner today. @MadDimension I think it's worth talking to some more computer savvy guys in the movement to discuss the risk of using free wifi services while in CVILLE. This is particularly true of those staying in private rentals through AirBnB, because if they offer wifi but are shitlib sympathizers, they may access activity on their router and get personal info. I don't know enough about encryption to speak intelligently but I think we should be cautious.
@SpencerReesh use VPN on personal devices when accessing public /potentially hostile Wi-Fi networks
^bingo this is exactly the kind of stuff people need to be seeing. Personally I'll just be sticking to 4G while I'm there to avoid all potential for problems
Even if you aren't using a VPN, just using the https:// version of sites can help. (They could see what sites you had visited, but not any data transmitted on those sites, ie they would know you went to Facebook, but not your login info)
I recommend using the https everywhere add-on in your browser anyway
^ how is that even real in 2017. I can't imagine the lack of self awareness
_do not_ use free wifi at this event under any circumstances.
