german is so closely typed often you don't even NEED the noun to infer the object

True, but confusion is a potential result that ambiguity.

Ich nehme die zum TierArtz

2019-09-25 16:39:38 UTC

Ok faggots

2019-09-25 16:39:47 UTC

german sucks for poetic forms like similie and metaphor though

2019-09-25 16:39:48 UTC

Well. Interpreters that translate German on the fly often experience clients that gesture at them to translate, while said speaker didn't finish the sentence,
And the poor interpretert still has no clue what the speaker is saying.
Espcially because negations go AT THE END in german

You can be saying a lengthy sentence in German and then add "not" at the end, just turning it all on its head

2019-09-25 16:40:39 UTC

lol; yeah, that can be a pain to translate cause you can't do it via 'stream of consciousness'

2019-09-25 16:40:58 UTC

you have to wait till the idea is completed to start your translation

2019-09-25 16:41:08 UTC

very simplex type of communication

2019-09-25 16:41:08 UTC

Oof. So complete thoughts are required by the language structure?

2019-09-25 16:41:11 UTC

Russian can be translated almost at the same pace as it is spoken

2019-09-25 16:41:13 UTC

have any of you got the feeling you cant please anyone

its like

*i want to save money* - "You're hoarding money you pig"

*i want to go to college* - "Colleges will turn you into an sjw"

*i want to marry* - "Dont you know feminism has ruined women"

* i guess i wont marry* - "Then you've failed life and to "reproduce""

*maybe i'll buy a neat game or go to the movies* - "then you're irresponsible with money*

what the fuck do i do?

2019-09-25 16:41:17 UTC

Russian has a few weird things too
like "yes no" reply

2019-09-25 16:42:20 UTC

german lanauge really does require complete, discrete thinking

2019-09-25 16:42:32 UTC

It means "but actually no", and can mean yes anyway

2019-09-25 16:42:42 UTC

@Napoleon Lee Scott but yes, society is a fickle bi-polar bitch to deal with

2019-09-25 16:42:49 UTC

which is something that wasn't popular in english till recently

2019-09-25 16:42:54 UTC

'yes but no'

2019-09-25 16:42:56 UTC

@Napoleon Lee Scott Yes, you can't please everyone. Hell, sometimes you can't even please yourself.

2019-09-25 16:43:06 UTC

German needs a bit of planning when you speak

2019-09-25 16:43:14 UTC

MOST of the time you cannot please yourself

2019-09-25 16:43:26 UTC

English need to have a preselected set of words to have the coreect meaning

2019-09-25 16:43:37 UTC

Chinese doesn’t have a yes or no

2019-09-25 16:43:52 UTC

Hate to agree, MA.. but *shrugs* It's true enough.

2019-09-25 16:43:55 UTC

Russian, each word is unique and convey plenty of meaning, the order denotes your mood

2019-09-25 16:43:55 UTC

WAs very annoying when learning

2019-09-25 16:44:02 UTC

i have had good luck reducing german to simpler terms when trying to convey an idea

2019-09-25 16:44:09 UTC

@PureEvilPie but they do

2019-09-25 16:44:38 UTC

是的,没有

2019-09-25 16:44:43 UTC

If someone asks “do you have this?” They will respond “I have” or “don’t have”

2019-09-25 16:44:44 UTC

What are those then?

2019-09-25 16:44:46 UTC

meh, any man of abilty will be their worst critic
