german sucks for poetic forms like similie and metaphor though
Well. Interpreters that translate German on the fly often experience clients that gesture at them to translate, while said speaker didn't finish the sentence,
And the poor interpretert still has no clue what the speaker is saying.
Espcially because negations go AT THE END in german
You can be saying a lengthy sentence in German and then add "not" at the end, just turning it all on its head
lol; yeah, that can be a pain to translate cause you can't do it via 'stream of consciousness'
Uh ooh, she is going off script.

you have to wait till the idea is completed to start your translation
very simplex type of communication
Oof. So complete thoughts are required by the language structure?
Russian can be translated almost at the same pace as it is spoken
have any of you got the feeling you cant please anyone
its like
*i want to save money* - "You're hoarding money you pig"
*i want to go to college* - "Colleges will turn you into an sjw"
*i want to marry* - "Dont you know feminism has ruined women"
* i guess i wont marry* - "Then you've failed life and to "reproduce""
*maybe i'll buy a neat game or go to the movies* - "then you're irresponsible with money*
what the fuck do i do?
Russian has no word order
yeah, russian is .... head ache
yes, lauv
@Napoleon Lee Scott DO you and don't give a fuck
Oy vey how dare greaterisrael thotbergenstein insult the glorious and infallible france hurr durr baguette hon hon surrenderfag
Russian has a few weird things too
like "yes no" reply
german lanauge really does require complete, discrete thinking
It means "but actually no", and can mean yes anyway
@Napoleon Lee Scott but yes, society is a fickle bi-polar bitch to deal with
'yes but no'
@Napoleon Lee Scott Yes, you can't please everyone. Hell, sometimes you can't even please yourself.
German needs a bit of planning when you speak
MOST of the time you cannot please yourself
English need to have a preselected set of words to have the coreect meaning
Chinese doesn’t have a yes or no
Hate to agree, MA.. but *shrugs* It's true enough.
Russian, each word is unique and convey plenty of meaning, the order denotes your mood
WAs very annoying when learning
i have had good luck reducing german to simpler terms when trying to convey an idea
@PureEvilPie but they do
是的,没有
If someone asks “do you have this?” They will respond “I have” or “don’t have”
What are those then?
meh, any man of abilty will be their worst critic
otherwise, they wouldn't have been always striving to improve
They aren’t the English forms of yes or no
It’s not the same thing
Japanese and Chinese languages existed without having "yes"/"no" dichotomy for a long time
Anyhow, time to rise and shine - shower and all that going out into the world thing. Hopefully not crush too many dreams, or curbstomp too many hopes.
