Not a term that I've ever heard being used before, but I'll have to learn about it before I can say if I consider it valid or not. So I concede, you have a point.
China is nationalist, but it's a different kind of nationalism than we're used to. It's an assimilationist nationalism - absorb everything, make it chinese. Plus old school imperial and strategic planning (take stuff over and make it serve the state)
One China is not about "everything within these borders should be unified".
One China is about "Everything will become China"
"We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ship. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile."
SHATTAP USA BOI NOT CHINESE ENOUGH YOU NEED USE MOAR SWOGANS
AHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHA
But seriously...
"Ruptly is live from outside Westminster Magistrates Court in London on Monday, October 21, as a hearing is held to determine whether Julian Assange can be released from prison.
Assange has been ordered to appear before the court in person. The 48-year old WikiLeaks' founder has been held in custody at Belmarsh prison in London since being dragged out of Ecuador’s embassy last April. He’s currently fighting extradition to the US where he may face up to 175 years in jail if convicted.
Assange supporters have called for a gathering outside the court."

We should be in the debate channel actually
I don't think this is debate worthy.
It isn't heated enough.
I don't usually post in here but I was just having a shower thought and figured I'd share - just how many of the social, political, economic and cultural problems that humanity is having (and has had for the past 100 years) can be traced back to Karl Marx?
Seems like damn near every single one.
What do you fellas think?
Fractional reserve banking seems to have caused a lot as well
Yeah, I suppose if ol' Karl had never existed, there'd still be bad ideas from another source
That too, Silent.
Just boggles my mind a little bit how influential on the course of human history Marx has been
I dont know id say that. Communism is at its root plutocracy, and those have been around forever.
All Marx did was put a rational/humanitarian veneer over it.
But plutocracy is highly unequal in all regards
The mighty and the wealthy rule over the rest to maintain their power, and the common man has either legally no voting rights, or effectively, since democracy gets undermined
This is at odds with communism, or even with the pursuit of communism, in multiple ways
China is actually an example of this, when people claim it's communist they basically show they don't understand what communism is
Only in name the CCP claims to be communist, so yeah
The PRC is certainly not communist
But I digress
i realize until the other day that the number of members of PRC is 90million people, so 1 in 16 citizens are part of the party.
I think you mean the CCP
yep, CCP
Aight, cause the PRC is just China
yea was writing it in a different way and dident fix it up
oh ok
Yeah I hardly even try to understand China, it's so twisted and complicated. Even Chinese people don't understand much of it.
