i think MGTOW is the natural extention of men's tendancy to specialize

2019-11-10 04:28:48 UTC

Oh it's serious shit lol

2019-11-10 04:28:50 UTC

Not that anyone likes the guy who climbs to that position tbh

2019-11-10 04:28:58 UTC

that speciaization comes from not doing anything and being trained to be a leader. a mechanic who has spent 20 years on the job might have no idea how to be a leader in corporates eyes, but his will do a damn better job leading the mechanics section of your company than the person who has 20 years in inter-personal management.

2019-11-10 04:29:21 UTC

that is partial true, yes

2019-11-10 04:29:35 UTC

Experience is the word

2019-11-10 04:29:35 UTC

there is an abstract element to dealing with people

2019-11-10 04:29:53 UTC

but you can learn that anywhere and apply it anywhere else

2019-11-10 04:30:30 UTC

the leader learns 'the hierarchy' more than any skill he does within that hierarchy

2019-11-10 04:30:42 UTC

Kind of but it has to be in a similar environment

2019-11-10 04:30:55 UTC

hence the hierarchy component

2019-11-10 04:31:10 UTC

Send the mechanic to a couple psychology classes and management seminars, done.

2019-11-10 04:31:19 UTC

negative

2019-11-10 04:31:23 UTC

Noooo

2019-11-10 04:31:27 UTC

hehe

2019-11-10 04:31:43 UTC

psyhcology, in my opinion; worst thing for the West

2019-11-10 04:31:48 UTC

oh god most of the mechanics i know would eat them alive.

2019-11-10 04:32:16 UTC

because instead of said knowledge being held by those with most expeience, it is wielding by all

2019-11-10 04:32:22 UTC

Its better to just pick people from those already exhibiting the right behaviour then training somebody who has no skill because if we're being real here you have to fucking work at any skill to really develop it and those people fucking won't do that if they don't already show the initiative

2019-11-10 04:32:25 UTC

but you get my point, it's not a lot of catchup when he already has a large baseline

2019-11-10 04:33:05 UTC

true. but there are different types of initiative

2019-11-10 04:33:09 UTC

most of it is confidence building in the new role, fix it with additional training

2019-11-10 04:33:19 UTC

not so sure about that

2019-11-10 04:33:41 UTC

some people lack confidence, yes but also some people aren't suited for that particular task

2019-11-10 04:33:52 UTC

confidence from competence

2019-11-10 04:33:55 UTC

Its way broader then that

2019-11-10 04:33:56 UTC

is my meaning

2019-11-10 04:33:59 UTC

it's as much about matching the tool with the task as anything elsle

2019-11-10 04:34:25 UTC

arrogance is different

2019-11-10 04:34:28 UTC

i do think "train the person who has been doing the job to lead" is better than "bring in someone else trained to lead"

2019-11-10 04:35:27 UTC

definately true

2019-11-10 04:35:42 UTC

and find someone who doesn't WISH to lead

2019-11-10 04:35:57 UTC

but recongizes the importance of leadership

2019-11-10 04:36:02 UTC

and is good at it

2019-11-10 04:37:01 UTC

Funny how the motto, "I'm in charge... until I die or someone better comes along to replace me" comes to mind

2019-11-10 04:38:07 UTC

mmm

2019-11-10 04:38:13 UTC

People in charge will not promote people they consider threats to their position

2019-11-10 04:38:19 UTC

Often

2019-11-10 04:38:35 UTC

if they won't , these are bad leaders

2019-11-10 04:38:40 UTC

competition and not doing right by your community...

2019-11-10 04:38:59 UTC

hence why I said, "Someone that doesn't want to lead but rather wants the best leader"
