You starting another story?

2021-02-12 17:57:56 UTC

no, I’m just working in a new document

2021-02-12 17:58:10 UTC

i keep jumping around what scenes i write

2021-02-12 18:27:40 UTC

Ah I see

2021-02-12 23:34:42 UTC

I do that a lot.

2021-02-12 23:36:02 UTC

But more in a loose sequential order of major events in the story

2021-02-12 23:47:55 UTC

When I’m tired of working on the next scene, I work on redoing the beginning. But oftentimes I can’t concentrate if I’m writing between two walls of text so sometimes I create a new document and paste it back in later or I’ll click the enter key fifty million times below it so it seems like there’s nothing below what I’ve written

any ideas on what to do when you're idea bankrupt?

2021-02-13 12:19:35 UTC

Set a timer and free write whatever comes to mind, even if it's the same word again and again. At some point, your brain will get board and figure something else out. Or get a set of random words, do the above, but try to incorporate the ransom words in somehow.

i finally write something this year

2021-02-13 21:26:58 UTC

this is the first poem i wrote for 2021. i'm not satisfied with the ending, so if anybody have any suggestions/criticisms, i'm open to receive them

Well, I think you just summed up like 90% of humanity in a poem. Impressive.

2021-02-14 04:06:05 UTC

I'm meh about most poetry, including the dreck that I write. I'm impressed with this. Nice work.

2021-02-14 04:07:35 UTC

i'm not so good at it, too. usually it goes where it goes. thank you for your compliment 😊

2021-02-14 04:10:55 UTC

Call it like I see it.

2021-02-14 07:20:13 UTC

I really like this poem as it sums up a lot of people

2021-02-14 07:20:15 UTC

in a good way

2021-02-14 07:20:37 UTC

we're always pushed to be the best and honestly, I can respect the people who are just like this; who simply want a simple life

2021-02-14 15:04:47 UTC

Thank you 😊 😊 😊

2021-02-14 15:19:01 UTC

Read, read, read. Think. And make notes. The goal is to actively add to your subconscious.

2021-02-14 21:59:09 UTC

Take your social media pages and kill them with fire. Revive only if you have solid ideas.

2021-02-15 05:14:19 UTC

It looks really good! Why do you feel unsatisfied with the ending? I know it’s a stupid question and you probably know why, but sometimes I find it helps to ask why I’m not satisfied with something or don’t feel it’s good enough. Personally, I feel it might be that the ending doesn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the poem, but that’s just me.

2021-02-15 05:17:09 UTC

yeah. i think i haven't explored the ending fully yet. like i want to expand on the idea that "what if i want a simple life because i am not willing to change" -- although it may seems out of topic since the first two parts are about "dreaming of simple things"

2021-02-15 05:25:37 UTC

I feel like they’re pretty similar themes. As long as it’s not something really off of what the poem has said or conveyed so far, I think it can fit. But yeah, I would play around with the possibilities

2021-02-15 05:27:10 UTC

i'm mucking around with it. i think i'll sleep on it for a bit more and see what else can i come up with. i've a few other scattered points that i may be able to combine with this
