It's good to use losses to our advantage, but there is no point to willingly take many losses for no reason. Rarely does a loss mean a win in the end.
they'd be communist before anything else
power fantasies are one of the most dangerous mistakes we can make right now
we need to be using every method we still have to push back
and institutions are one of them
@Alex Kolchak - NY so you are fine with having a large carryover of the old stuff in your new system if successful
depending on what you mean by success
Horse ------ Your Cart
you’re missing my point. The current system is a means to an end
ah
ok I can buy that argument more
recall that communists in Eastern European countries often used lawful means to gain power
X
Dang, really?
in Czechia, I believe, the entire cabinet resigned because of Communist govt officials’ corruption. Guess what happened? The communists filled those positions.
I may be mistaking the country, but that scenario 100% happened
the good guys did the noble idealistic thing and lost control of the government almost overnight
well I will respectfully disagree although I might be completely wrong and off the rails
*this is what happens*
Why the hell would you resign from a position of power as a form of protest?
That's, like, *really* dumb
exactly. And abandoning existing institutions is on par with that
Reminds me of boycotting elections, another retarded thing people do as a form of protest
sorry I took the go-off juice there but this is something I feel really strongly about
I would do my dude. All is fair in love and war, there really is no honour in diverse societies, or societies where a group is actively trying to take it over.
@Alex Kolchak - NY for the record wht year is that?
anyway, back what to what we were talking about
I doubt that communists came to power through legal means in most Eastern European countries
I mean, in Russia it happened through a literal revolution
yeah
I actually don't remember how it happened in Poland
I mean it's definitely *a* way
@Jacob the soviet union basically put it there
yep this doesn't sound very legal lol
so it's definitely a way
but but it's also not the only way
@YourFundamentalTheorum 1948 parliamentary elections in Czechoslovakia
well that was after the communist occupation
