anyway, your looks(and a lot of other stuff, including behavioral tendencies) are definitely determined(or at leased influenced) by the dna of your parents. no way around that
lol
Yup. Anybody who denies that either genetics or socialization can have an effect on complex behaviors is a dope.
Epigenetic expression is not the same as DNA which is all the same, we are not different species.
Thank you captain pedant
What's your point?
Does anybody differentiate slavs from gaelic when they say "fuck white people"?
Nigga get off my porch bruh
lol
Coming at me like you think you know shit
@Jek Porkins celts aren't people
The moors didn't live in Czech
time for some more autism from hooty
I agree that racism comes from all sides, and shouldn't be defined as one group having institutional power.
of course we are the same species, i would even argue that the term "race" as used in most contexts is more of a colloquialism then a scientific term, but it still is a thing that needs a name, even if it is an ill-fitting one
@Deleted User You are on the edge of being devastated by dozens of mustached shirtless men with longswords
I'm going to culturally appropriate some sushi
@banestrum I guess it's time for potato famine 2.0: electric boogaloo
DOWN WITH THE KULAKS. THOSE BASTARD SUCCESSFUL FARMERS
You fool, we've merged with the potato long ago
lol
Race exists, but not in the biological sense, in the social categorization sense.
it has still strong genetic influence that you cant deny
You're just saying this because that article that came out last week.
It's not inherently incorrect, but you wouldn't have brought it up otherwise
Different groups of people have different biological traits. Do you deny that? @Deleted User
Based on ethnic geographical location yes
That's not race?
Nope
<:what:382980756139409409>
Because actually a white guy from england could have more genetic similarity with an asian guy in the far east than another white guy in his own town for example.
wat
That is not true, but it is true for say, English can be more closely related to Chinese than they are to the Greeks
@Deleted User So what you're saying is that white supremacy isn't racism.
race can simultaneously be a social construct and correlate strongly with genetic clusters within the human species
In terms of the idea that we should separate ourselves based on race, yes it is a social construct, but in terms of biological differences actually existing, it is in no way a construct.
if you accept the fact that there are biological differences between the races then why wouldn't you advocate for some degree of separation
Why should I?
I prefer an egalitarian meritocratic society
I'm guessing this is why this is coming up now
