It can be unbiased. Name all 50 states. Name at least half the presidents. Etc

2018-10-23 06:05:07 UTC

@Tyler0317 I mostly agree with that. As I believe you want a monarch at the top with a democratic base that will take care of the smaller forms of government.

2018-10-23 06:05:14 UTC

Monarchies are arguably much easier to fix @Tyler0317

2018-10-23 06:05:35 UTC

assassinations and nailing to a tree used to do the trick

2018-10-23 06:06:02 UTC

Any monarchy with real power wouldn't fly today (especially not in America) because nobody believes in divine right and it therefore lacks a claim to legitimacy

2018-10-23 06:06:03 UTC

(NOT ENDORSING VIOLENCE)

lmao is that isreal in the bottom right

Rate of HIV in Swaziland vs the US is 80.5:1

If One were required be a property owner/tax payer/military veteran
to vote.

Problem solved

2018-10-23 06:06:33 UTC

@TMatthews They'll believe in divine right once the church has major power within the state

2018-10-23 06:06:44 UTC

I know a hyper leftists girl who thinks there should be a test to vote

2018-10-23 06:06:53 UTC

oy vey

2018-10-23 06:06:55 UTC

>Isreal
>Europe

2018-10-23 06:06:58 UTC

Baffling to me how that’s controversial

2018-10-23 06:07:01 UTC

@Jawa That ship has sailed, my bro

2018-10-23 06:07:08 UTC

I'm sorry, but monarchy is dumb. Sure, personality traits are heritable, but there's way too much variation to guarantee that the king's son is going to be fit for leadership. Might as well roll a dice.

2018-10-23 06:07:25 UTC

@Jacob are you obsessed with EU4?

2018-10-23 06:07:28 UTC

If you can’t pick out what state you live in on a map you don’t get to decide how your country is governed

2018-10-23 06:07:28 UTC

@Jawa No they won't. Churches don't even preach that today. If you're suggesting mandatory religious indoctrination plus a monarchy, you're going against literally everything that is American

2018-10-23 06:07:57 UTC

@Jacob do you propose a democratic leadership then? because then we will just run into the same problems we have today

2018-10-23 06:08:24 UTC

It's not about heribility it's about grooming from a young age. A leader that is groomed from the age of 12 will be better than a leader that puts their own advantages first with various forms of political pork and other forms of lobbying.

2018-10-23 06:08:31 UTC

uhhh how does EUIV come into this?

2018-10-23 06:08:36 UTC

>rolling the dice

2018-10-23 06:08:44 UTC

>random params of successors

2018-10-23 06:08:46 UTC

Democracy with a severely restricted franchise

2018-10-23 06:09:03 UTC

@ophiuchus woof, prime ground for a socialist revolution

2018-10-23 06:09:21 UTC

@TMatthews Mate I hate to break it to you but if a nations identity is based on "no king" than it has nothing to build upon. America is more than just an anti-monarchy state.

2018-10-23 06:09:24 UTC

You can't guarantee that the monarch will be good. If education worked like that, then civnats could make everyone a constitution loving, law abiding, tax paying, republican

2018-10-23 06:09:30 UTC

No, democracy. Constitutional Republic.

2018-10-23 06:09:58 UTC

You can't however you have a elective primenougure where the king chooses the best successor

2018-10-23 06:10:01 UTC
2018-10-23 06:10:04 UTC

@YourFundamentalTheorum lol isn't Sweden a monarchy? Ya dude I'd take democracy over "just give it to the king's doing", even if democracy isn't ideal

2018-10-23 06:10:14 UTC

sweden isn't an absolute monarchy

2018-10-23 06:10:21 UTC

it's a (((constitutional))) monarchy

2018-10-23 06:10:25 UTC

where the king is a literal puppet

2018-10-23 06:10:34 UTC

How did it end up that way?

2018-10-23 06:10:42 UTC

Peasants

2018-10-23 06:10:44 UTC

I'm not aware if there's a single legitimate monarchy left

2018-10-23 06:10:44 UTC

@Jawa Not just "no kings" but literally the entirety of US history comes from an origin that was fighting monarchy then crafting a balanced republic (the longest enduring one in history)

2018-10-23 06:10:47 UTC

the tl;dr peasants and feudalism

2018-10-23 06:10:52 UTC

Sweden was an absolute monarchy for a long time
