Imagine if my dad was a monarch. He'd be pretty disappointed in how the monarchy turned out.

2018-10-23 06:29:43 UTC

I've noticed that monarchists tend to be ultra-religious (usually Catholic) and yearning for the good old days before the Reformation when everything was orderly and theocratic. Not an attack. Just an observation. As a godless agnostic myself, I can't say that I relate

2018-10-23 06:29:44 UTC

I loved it when I made her meet patrick little.

2018-10-23 06:30:02 UTC

Based

2018-10-23 06:30:16 UTC

@TMatthews imo monarchy and hierarchy in general is the natural order. But you can have your own opinion

2018-10-23 06:30:17 UTC

Based MAGA deplorable 😎

2018-10-23 06:30:35 UTC

even the old germanic and particularly slavic tribes had a leader or a "knyaz"

2018-10-23 06:30:45 UTC

Real <@&488531212437159936> hours, who up?

2018-10-23 06:30:59 UTC

h-howdy

2018-10-23 06:31:03 UTC

the only real slavic republics were (((merchant))) republics

2018-10-23 06:31:11 UTC

Huh?

2018-10-23 06:31:18 UTC

I still have the role F

2018-10-23 06:31:22 UTC

i'm talking about the likes of Novgorod

2018-10-23 06:31:25 UTC

Lol

2018-10-23 06:31:42 UTC

I did my second interview tonight but I didn't have my role changed

2018-10-23 06:31:47 UTC

republics were generally trading economies

2018-10-23 06:31:48 UTC

The economic system isn't based on peasant farmers so again what may have been logical then isn't anymore. I'd prefer a system that grants us social mobility so that the best and brightest can reach the top levels of society

2018-10-23 06:31:48 UTC

same my man @StevePines -WA

2018-10-23 06:32:01 UTC

@TMatthews i'm all for social mobility

2018-10-23 06:32:39 UTC

i'm against hereditary titles that pass on just because of birthright

2018-10-23 06:32:40 UTC

Monarchy does not need to mean peasant farmer economy

2018-10-23 06:32:47 UTC

I support the byzantine model of sucession

2018-10-23 06:32:51 UTC

Yeah...

2018-10-23 06:33:14 UTC

Rome, Spain, England, Canada...monarchies

2018-10-23 06:33:15 UTC

I really support the economic model of 10th century (golden age) Byzantium. I really do.

2018-10-23 06:33:16 UTC

Social mobility was all but nonexistent in the feudal system, at least for the underclass.

2018-10-23 06:33:27 UTC

because you're implying feudalism = monarchy

2018-10-23 06:33:44 UTC

@StevePines -WA We'll have Niko do it. I technically could, but I don't know if it's over stepping my authority since I'm just the assistant to the coordinator.

2018-10-23 06:33:50 UTC

feudalism is a whole differnt ballgame

2018-10-23 06:34:04 UTC

I assumed that's what you meant as it was the primary form of monarchy and hierarchy for centuries

2018-10-23 06:34:38 UTC

early germanic and slavic tribes were not feudal

2018-10-23 06:34:41 UTC

neither were the Romans

2018-10-23 06:34:48 UTC

feudalism is a dark ages invention really

2018-10-23 06:35:25 UTC

Even so, the same issues arise. No popular support. No accountability for the king. With the Turks just outside their walls, the Byzantine elites debated the gender of angels

2018-10-23 06:35:51 UTC

a) strawman b) I'm talking about the 10th century model, not the late 15th century model

2018-10-23 06:36:14 UTC

That is not a strawman lol.

2018-10-23 06:36:16 UTC

Some monarchs sucked

2018-10-23 06:36:17 UTC

Feudalism was a Jewish trick.

2018-10-23 06:36:27 UTC

Some republics sucked

2018-10-23 06:36:35 UTC

@Jacob it's all good lol

2018-10-23 06:36:54 UTC

At least with a republic, you can theoretically change the leadership if they do poorly
