I was strongly considering it, but after my mini experience with the cost of those bmw parts & the tooling required for doing work on them I decided Id be much better off with something generic that will run for 300-400k miles

Heard good things about 16+ Mercs again too, but generally 2005- present jap cars + select american brands are your best bet.
