hey guys, would you recommend me to go back to college for computer science? I was originally going to community college for CS because I wanted to be a game dev but I got to admit that I was a slacker. Now, I want to go back to community college and get my CS certificate so I can get into cybersecurity. But is it worth it? or can I just learn by myself?

I think most of game dev isn't really worth it (especially if you hear the stories from big studios, like you work overtime, to meet the crazy deadline, just to get fired or maybe hired for the next protect 😛 )

cybersecurity is a good field I think, but again two things / warnings

and if you have the internal motivation, then yeah,
you can learn most of this stuff on your own, there are a ton of ressources out there,
but to get hired you need the certifications, etc
you have to find out which are the relevant

@YuriBezmenov @0supahgatovian11 my recommendation is to focus on your A+, Net+, Sec+, and CCNA certification so you can get your foot in the door at an IT job. You can take classes online after that.
Please don’t pay big bucks for college and please don’t borrow money to go to school.
