@NITRODUBS We'll be having a movie night here in Ohio soon
!! When
I didn't understand that. Try 'help' for more info.
Can I come??
I’m sad I haven’t been able to be active lately. Since we’re about to get our winter break, work has been giving us some serious overtime
I really need to get more active
Especially now that my friends outside of politics are getting more and more tired of it
Seems a couple of people quit recently. Kind of sad, but I guess as long as new members outnumber resignations it will be okay.
No, not really, that's still not ideal
@NITRODUBS Hopefully either next weekend or the weekend after that, I still have to run it by Andreas
@Kuruminha Sure, I don't mind but you'll have to ask our coordinator @Andreas Cincinnatus
Like, I'm not trying to blackpill, but I wouldn't say it's okay as long as we get new members
Someone who just last week isn't the same as someone who is experienced
@Jacob I am trying to find a silver lining. Nothing on earth is "ideal." Uff da.
I get that. I just think we should work on increasing retention rates rather than "eh, who cares".
People will always come and go in a large org, particularly of this nature. It's nothing to worry oneself over.
We gain more than lose. That's just life.
@PatrickAZ I’ll bite what is adbusters
@Jacob You are putting words in my mouth. 😒 I'm trying to just be optimistic you autist
@Virgil if it’s not too inconvenient could it please be on a saturday? :’) gonna have to be working overtime nearly every Saturday until break so I can’t stay up past 9 p.m on fridays
The fact that we’re as strong as we are given the state of the “movement” which has fizzled by atleast 70%, is testament to this organizations success. Times have not been easy, and this probably isn’t the worse it’s going to get if we’re being real
Can’t even fathom a post trump world yet
@NITRODUBS I work on Fridays so I agree that Saturday night would be best.
I mean you *did* say, "as long as we get new members it will be okay", so it's not really putting words in your mouth. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I don't have confidence in us or that it won't be okay, I'm just saying that that isn't the only prerequisite for it to be okay. We need to actively think about how to both increase retention rates and gain new members. @Wood-Ape - OK/MN
Net increase in time meaning it "WILL BE" okay does not mean "ideal." Jeez you can really tell you were raised by non English speakers.
He’s saying it will be okay. He never said ideal Jacob
Maybe you just have a lower standard for "okay" then
Okay=/=ideal
More English lessons : "Okay" =/= "wonderful"
We just need something really big to happen honestly. The more intolerable things the left does to shift its own audience to the right the more apps we’ll get
Things are quite far from ideal
I see the point you’re making is you would prefer ideal over accepting “okay”
Survival = okay. Thriving = good. Winning = ideal.
I think slow and steady is a bit better, growing too much too fast could be a fatal problem for our organization.
Ya, I get that, it's just that my standard for "okay" is more than "barely scraping by". I don't think we should ever tell ourselves it's "okay" to lose members at high rates. I get that you're just trying to be optimistic. I'm not trying to be pessimistic either, I'm just saying that we should hold ourselves to a higher standard for what is "okay".
I really don't think this is something to get mad over.
You’re not being pessimistic
Just unrealistic
All I'm saying is that for me "okay" includes having a good retention rate. That's literally all it is.
And nowhere did I say net increase in membership was "the only prerequisite for it to be okay". a method =/= only method.
An I.E. made of 100 Millionaires would be probably more powerful than 1,000 normal people. But that is an unlikely and outlandish scenario.
I remember much worse retention rates
I remember that, too, which is why I'm really not trying to be pessimistic. I fully understand that we're improving.
