@Ironman its brand new

2020-10-09 03:42:39 UTC

So yeah $850 is still more than $700 for a non fired weapon

2020-10-09 03:48:13 UTC

as long as quality is good its fine

2020-10-09 04:11:52 UTC

60c per round of 5.56 looks like prices are going down. I paid 75c per round a week ago

2020-10-09 04:18:14 UTC

@HUNTER4639 Thanks, but the funny thing is, I wouldn't even consider myself *that* knowledgeable, lol

Guns, to me, are like hotrodding and machining: I know just enough that I don't know shit

2020-10-09 05:14:04 UTC

same

2020-10-09 05:28:20 UTC

So US law dictates that for something to be considered a firearm it has to be designed after 1898 and have a self contained cartridge (Aka. a bullet). So you can own a reproduction model of a blackpowder gun designed before 1898 and it aint considered a firearm legally and Cabellas sells 1858 Remington revolver reproduction for 270 dollars šŸ˜„

2020-10-09 05:29:21 UTC

me who's trying to get a gatling gun: šŸ‘€

2020-10-09 05:30:36 UTC

You can actually buy a gatling gun or make one yourself

2020-10-09 05:30:41 UTC

its totally legal

2020-10-09 05:30:54 UTC

since they are hand cranked they are not considered machine guns.

2020-10-09 05:35:14 UTC

*procedes to make one out of aks like that guy on youtube*

2020-10-09 05:37:14 UTC

We need to buy a used FTMV and mount a gatling gun to the back and drive through portland and seattle

2020-10-09 05:40:56 UTC

and to mkae the gun fire quicker mount a bunch of gears to the back of the truck that fires the gun multiple times a rotation

2020-10-09 05:41:43 UTC

or that may be illegal. I would guess not because it aint illegal to fire a gun with a string and its kinda the same thing.

2020-10-09 07:04:23 UTC

In case you guys missed it, the ATF issued
a cease and desist to Q for their Honey Badger AR pistol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCpUdKf9TmY

2020-10-09 07:49:41 UTC

Yup. That is what you call a slippery slope

2020-10-09 10:54:46 UTC

@Odb we still have our 5.56 listed at 65c a rround. Still selling like hotcakes

2020-10-09 10:59:14 UTC

@Ironman since you work with guns, I assume you might know a lot about scopes. Do you have a recommendation for a 1-10 scope at or under $1000 ish. I really like the size/style of the ā€œVortex Razor HD Gen III 1-10x24 Riflescopeā€ but iā€™d have to cut my left nut off and sell it to science to afford that.

2020-10-09 11:13:51 UTC

Scopes are like cars. Sometimes you can get good results on a budget, but the rule of thumb is the more you spend, the better it is. What is the aperture size? 30, 40, or 50?

2020-10-09 11:18:48 UTC

@Ironman I know nothing about scopes. Iā€™ve watched about 2hours of youtube videos tonight but thats about it. 1-10 zoom is fine for me. Its for a DDM4V7 pro 5.56 rifle, 600 yards is enough for me

2020-10-09 11:19:36 UTC

This scope is ridiculously priced but I really like the size.

2020-10-09 11:23:51 UTC

Wow thats a nice optic. I agree its a bit pricey. We have a bushnell on our shelf for 499. Its a 3-9 x 40. Nice for hunting but I wouldnt use it for competition. I use a cheap Osprey 4x fixed for 149. Holds tight groups

2020-10-09 11:33:27 UTC

I prefer fixed zoom on my optics. The variable zoom usually causes a slight parallax error from the smallest to largest zoom settings. Most competition shooters also use fixed optics.

2020-10-09 11:34:07 UTC

Thats also why I can get away with a cheaper scope and still maintain reasonable results.

2020-10-09 12:07:13 UTC

Oops

2020-10-09 12:07:19 UTC

Sorry for all of those

2020-10-09 12:11:58 UTC

@Ironman gotcha ill do some more research seems like there is a lot to consider

2020-10-09 12:20:09 UTC
