There is no “sincere enough.” The term “enough” here does nothing. Everyone follows God at different paces, what matters is that we “finish the race.” As I said before, by your actions it will be known whether you were sincere or not

In our bible, since the very beginning, God gave us a choice....we just chosed to screw it up. In his infinite power and wisdom he could've just put us on rails and dictated our every move and thoughts.

2020-12-20 07:04:14 UTC

The Bible clearly outlines certain characteristics that will become manifest in a person

2020-12-20 07:04:51 UTC

i don't know. how would you know if you truly love somebody? i love my parents, but how much of that is me tricking myself into thinking that i am? i don't think i did enough for my parents to prove my love for them

2020-12-20 07:05:00 UTC

We as humans can’t atone for even a single “bad deed” we have committed.

2020-12-20 07:05:08 UTC

Jesus was willing to take the burden because he loves us. Second point, trying to be perfect will never take you to heaven. You have to be perfect 💯, which is not possible.

2020-12-20 07:05:26 UTC

That's basically what good people do. 👍

2020-12-20 07:05:51 UTC

What proof could you give? If the option came would you do extreme things for your parents? How do you prove love?

2020-12-20 07:06:43 UTC

Why not?

2020-12-20 07:06:48 UTC

well. the angels, lucifer, made a conscious choice against god and he was punished. but lucifer was never had the offer to redemption

2020-12-20 07:07:05 UTC

Sorry I'm catching up on all the previous text

2020-12-20 07:07:45 UTC

which is what i'm asking about god. i honestly don't know if things hit the fan i can overcome my cowardice.

2020-12-20 07:07:56 UTC

@isoboto honestly lambton is right here, one of the devils most effective weapons is doubt. The same questions you ask yourself about love and sincerity provide stumbling blocks to me. These are the devils weapons against humanity and they are even outlined in the Bible as such.

2020-12-20 07:08:02 UTC

That establishes culpability, he (lucifer) willingly and purposely disobeyed.

2020-12-20 07:08:25 UTC

satan sows a lot of doubts, that's for sure

2020-12-20 07:08:26 UTC

Peter, the rock upon whom the church was built, was a coward

2020-12-20 07:08:46 UTC

@isoboto each of Jesus’ twelve original disciples were cowards

2020-12-20 07:09:06 UTC

I’m a coward

2020-12-20 07:09:08 UTC

true. but we did, too, no? we went against god's rule

2020-12-20 07:09:17 UTC

Yes we did

2020-12-20 07:09:49 UTC

How is the discussion going

2020-12-20 07:09:53 UTC

U should establish culpability too. Sometimes by mistake and sometimes on purpose.

2020-12-20 07:10:15 UTC

pretty good, i think?

2020-12-20 07:10:17 UTC

*the doors of hell are locked from the inside*

2020-12-20 07:10:24 UTC

Ok just checking in

2020-12-20 07:10:45 UTC

Jump in...were getting along famously. 🍻

2020-12-20 07:10:55 UTC

Lol

2020-12-20 07:11:03 UTC

fair. especially if you're coming from the perspective of "you should only accept his offering grace"

2020-12-20 07:11:40 UTC

We don’t actually know that satan was never offered redemption. We also know that satan is the root of sin and that what he did was a lot worse than what he did. There is actually one sin which is so bad that it will not be forgiven, maybe because those who commit this sin will never accept forgiveness or be capable of repentance. This may very well be the case with Lucifer and his demons

2020-12-20 07:11:48 UTC

apparently to a demonologist online satan doesn't even want me <:KEK:726877368601411624> i'm a lost soul

2020-12-20 07:12:00 UTC

Yup, he extends His hand...and all we need to do is grab on.

2020-12-20 07:12:02 UTC

I know

2020-12-20 07:12:41 UTC

ha. or maybe the sin is not accepting forgiveness itself

2020-12-20 07:13:07 UTC

reminds me of the drowning man who refused to take the helping hands lol 😂

2020-12-20 07:13:09 UTC

Baptism by water does nothing to cleanse you of your sins

2020-12-20 07:13:48 UTC

i meant, as in the "original sin"

2020-12-20 07:13:50 UTC

No the sin is “blaspheming against the Holy Spirit” however most people don’t even know what this means

2020-12-20 07:13:55 UTC

Yeah, that's a great analogy of purposely rejecting God.

2020-12-20 07:14:18 UTC

planning a (failed) coup against God is one 😂

2020-12-20 07:14:24 UTC

Why eles did he die on the cross?

2020-12-20 07:14:51 UTC

This may very well be the case, I wasn’t there at the time but I’ll know when I get to Heaven I think
