@isoboto honestly lambton is right here, one of the devils most effective weapons is doubt. The same questions you ask yourself about love and sincerity provide stumbling blocks to me. These are the devils weapons against humanity and they are even outlined in the Bible as such.
That establishes culpability, he (lucifer) willingly and purposely disobeyed.
satan sows a lot of doubts, that's for sure
Peter, the rock upon whom the church was built, was a coward
Iām a coward
true. but we did, too, no? we went against god's rule
Yes we did
How is the discussion going
U should establish culpability too. Sometimes by mistake and sometimes on purpose.
pretty good, i think?
*the doors ofĀ hellĀ areĀ lockedĀ fromĀ theĀ inside*
Ok just checking in
Jump in...were getting along famously. š»
Lol
fair. especially if you're coming from the perspective of "you should only accept his offering grace"
We donāt actually know that satan was never offered redemption. We also know that satan is the root of sin and that what he did was a lot worse than what he did. There is actually one sin which is so bad that it will not be forgiven, maybe because those who commit this sin will never accept forgiveness or be capable of repentance. This may very well be the case with Lucifer and his demons
apparently to a demonologist online satan doesn't even want me <:KEK:726877368601411624> i'm a lost soul
Yup, he extends His hand...and all we need to do is grab on.
I know
reminds me of the drowning man who refused to take the helping hands lol š
Baptism by water does nothing to cleanse you of your sins
i meant, as in the "original sin"
No the sin is āblaspheming against the Holy Spiritā however most people donāt even know what this means
Yeah, that's a great analogy of purposely rejecting God.
planning a (failed) coup against God is one š
Why eles did he die on the cross?
This may very well be the case, I wasnāt there at the time but Iāll know when I get to Heaven I think
I already stated this
i mean, we never actually know about it? the bible (at least the version i've), don't say the specific about the original sin aside from "the apple"
By this, I know Iām going to Heaven but even when Iām there I might not figure out all the details
No Jesus cleaned out dirty hands
Please reference which message lol too many sent
To open the gates of heaven. Heaven wasn't open for business before Jesus opened it. He also opened them for all the "heroes" of the old testament waiting in "limbo" (abraham's bossom).
what do you do when you come to heaven, though? what do you become? a mindless spirit worshipping god? or free? how does heaven even works?
Wait are you catholic?
*if u love somebody, set them free*
Is that why Elijah was tooken to heaven
this was to an example somebody gave me that by dying jesus was paying our sins for us. my knowledge is that you can only go to heaven if you accept the saving grace, anyhow. and so jesus died only for some, while others (maybe, like me) that doesn't think jesus died for us is just still "kill" jesus anyway
This is a brilliant question lol. Itās something I have thought about too. We donāt know what form we will necessarily take but we know that it will be perfect. This may mean that it will be something like what Adam and Eve originally were. Immortal and perfect with full potential. That said we know that we will be able to meet with other and that we will have homes. We know that we will be comforted and that we will be safe. Our existences will serve to glorify God through what we do. We will also likely literally praise God.
