I have high hopes for the AfD, despite their leader's problems. If we get Germany then we effectively have the E.U.

Germany's AfD has been stagnating in the polls recently. Merkel's party has been going up ever since she announced she will not run in 2021.

Hmm, hopefully that changes soon, or AfD gets a more relatable leader who offers more than just immigration change.

My argument is this: The grand coalition is dropping in support faster than AfD and has been for a while now. Even if the CSU/CDU still hold majority power in the Bundenstag, they have less seats against more AfD, on top of other parties. A lot of the other parties more or less give a luke warm version of the same drivel the grand coalition gives.

Even of the AfD keep the strict "immigration policy only" tactic, that'll be a more winning tactic as ethnic tensions rise. They have a winning formula, just not an immediate winning formula.
