keeping in mind that we have bankruptcy laws, no one (who has financial advisors) stays under water in debt; if you are underwater you declare bankruptcy (preferably just the LLC that has the debt)

No I mean the only meaty part of the Russia thing was that trump took 100s of millions of dollars from Russian oligarchs when no American bank would lend to him. This was close to the time he started making rumblings to run for president. That’s the major concern of living in a post-truth world though. Everyone and everything has a spin and always has, but never before has the individual had such power to alter reality. I could make a deep fake tomorrow of Trump admitting everything was secure and fine and to cancel the investigations and it would be largely indistinguishable from a real un-altered video.
