if he had really just paid $750 in taxes then he certainly could have gotten Mexico to pay for the wall

2020-11-26 02:26:36 UTC

@meglide, you just advanced to level 8!

2020-11-26 02:27:10 UTC

You are missing the point here. The point is that the American people should know if trump paid off his personal debt of 100 s of millions to the Russian government. Hiding his taxes is highly suspicious. @realz

He gave away more to charity than to the wall (personal wallet of course)

2020-11-26 02:27:25 UTC

There is a big difference in Tax laws for business vs employed class people. Cannot use what the average person does for taxes and make sense out of what Trump's tax situation is.

2020-11-26 02:27:58 UTC

Which interestingly isn’t something covered on cnn at all @realz

2020-11-26 02:28:02 UTC

I agree it was suspicious and the american people should know, I already agreed several times. OTOH I think Trump was smart not to volunteer things that will be used as weapons against him

2020-11-26 02:28:03 UTC

Worse than hiding the taxes *being* suspicious, hiding the taxes *looks* suspicious, and how a thing *looks* is all that matters now.

2020-11-26 02:28:04 UTC

That I saw

2020-11-26 02:28:59 UTC

It’s a public perception game now, and the left has more ammo on Trump than the right had on Biden.

2020-11-26 02:29:25 UTC

So how did Biden hide all the taxes he should be paying on the Ukraine & China underhanded deals?

2020-11-26 02:29:30 UTC

I think the right had more ammo. They just didn't use it well

2020-11-26 02:29:40 UTC

Oh that's right it never happened......

2020-11-26 02:29:49 UTC

and for another proof why do you think they wanted too lock you down in youre home the ratical left will taste the kcraken now because we the people caught them in there plot too fraud the people of the united states

2020-11-26 02:30:04 UTC

oh and CNN outright lies here

2020-11-26 02:30:10 UTC

```
The new details gleaned from the President's tax records build on previous New York Times reports that detailed how Trump paid no federal income taxes whatsoever in 10 out of 15 years beginning in 2000 because he reported losing significantly more than he made.
In both the year he won the presidency and his first year in the White House, Trump paid just $750 in federal income taxes, the Times reported.
```

```In both the year he won the presidency and his first year in the White House, Trump paid just $750 in federal income taxes, the Times reported.
```

2020-11-26 02:30:16 UTC

that is a lie

2020-11-26 02:30:25 UTC

the times reported _one payment of 750 USD_

2020-11-26 02:30:40 UTC

CNN is just a rag

2020-11-26 02:30:42 UTC

Trump admitted it...

2020-11-26 02:30:44 UTC

Well sure it’s smart (in a elementary kind of way) and if everyone had that opportunity they would take it. @realz There was zero emphasis in media on any side about this topic. Instead they just focused on the fact that no other president ever released their tax returns and stopped their reasoning there. Who knows maybe they didn’t want to bring it up because it sounds too close to a accusation

2020-11-26 02:30:59 UTC

you mean he said something to the effect of "paying less is smarter"

2020-11-26 02:31:04 UTC

that isn't admitting it

2020-11-26 02:31:16 UTC

the NYT itself said that this was not the case

2020-11-26 02:31:27 UTC

it said that it only found a single payment of 750 USD

2020-11-26 02:31:33 UTC

and that there may be other payments

2020-11-26 02:31:45 UTC

Yeah but he never said being in debt to a foreign country is smart and everyone should do it if they can

2020-11-26 02:31:56 UTC

I don’t think anyone holds that position

2020-11-26 02:32:07 UTC

and thats another reason biden hired all of obamas party back into office too lock you down wake up people

2020-11-26 02:32:20 UTC

I’m sure whatever the tax situation was it was probably legal (you can hire professionals to chase down loopholes), but that doesn’t mean it was necessarily ethical.

2020-11-26 02:32:29 UTC

yea OK maybe I don't disagree (though I don't think the media has a problem making accusations lol)

2020-11-26 02:32:51 UTC

This isn’t even about the media. More Americans watch Fox News than cnn or msnbc

2020-11-26 02:32:52 UTC

I mean honestly he could have moved money through a shell in the caymans and no one would know anyways because the IRS would have to go through so much red tape to find it.

2020-11-26 02:33:03 UTC

he has businesses set up in Panama
