yes, please! @TaLoN132 '

If pedophilia were some property of the faith, then you'd have a beef on those grounds.

2020-11-26 22:27:44 UTC

Ground beef, if you will.

2020-11-26 22:27:44 UTC

@Zuluzeit, you just advanced to level 19!

2020-11-26 22:28:52 UTC

I get that argument But to be Christian is to know and believe Christ as your Savior. Not the pope not the priests, not Mary and not any of the Saints. Only Christ and in Christ alone.

2020-11-26 22:29:20 UTC

as described by the 7 councils, yes. I know.

2020-11-26 22:29:44 UTC

and everyone has a version of how that is achieved, based on what text they like the best.

2020-11-26 22:30:08 UTC

I for one, dont understand what I need to be saved from.

2020-11-26 22:30:23 UTC

Why am I under threat in the first place?

2020-11-26 22:30:27 UTC

Doesn’t even have the same Bible as Christianity

2020-11-26 22:30:41 UTC

But by that argument, belief in the church heirarchy is irrelevant...you're good as long as you also believe in Jesus. @thebrodys

2020-11-26 22:30:44 UTC

there are 80 different books all claiming to be christian.

2020-11-26 22:31:15 UTC

You can also be a serial killer, as long as youvbelieve in christ.

2020-11-26 22:31:22 UTC

Heaven must be full of assholes.

2020-11-26 22:31:46 UTC

Christianity doesn’t have church hierarchy. A Christian and there’s only two Christ no other person place or thing

2020-11-26 22:32:11 UTC

Not a place I would want to be. Full of people resulting from undeserved salvation.

2020-11-26 22:32:22 UTC

Used car salesmen everywhere.

2020-11-26 22:32:26 UTC

A Christian answers to Christ alone*

2020-11-26 22:32:27 UTC

So any religion is Christianity, as long as it includes belief in Christ, by your own proclamation. I'm not putting words in your mouth. @thebrodys

2020-11-26 22:32:54 UTC

The *only* necessary component.

2020-11-26 22:34:13 UTC

That’s not accurate. To be Christian is to follow Christ’s teachings. You can lose your salvation if you fall away from his teachings

2020-11-26 22:34:32 UTC

@Doc No, you need God to sacrifice himself unto himself to appease himself for two particular ancestors of ours' transgressions.

2020-11-26 22:35:04 UTC

The basis of the Christian faith is the New Testament that was ratified by Pope Innocent I in the year 405. Withouth Catholicism, there is no Christian Bible.

2020-11-26 22:35:06 UTC

@thebrodys Oh. That's a little more elaborate than your original assertion. Apologies.

2020-11-26 22:35:07 UTC

:joypeg:

2020-11-26 22:35:12 UTC

@thebrodys now you are changing the version. It started out as "believe Christ as your Savior". When prodded in, you changed that to "follow Christ’s teachings". I have seen this exact discussion before.

2020-11-26 22:35:30 UTC

Yes, what doc said.

2020-11-26 22:35:55 UTC

Christians believe Christ is the savior and we are called to follow his teachings

2020-11-26 22:35:59 UTC

What does this have to do with elections

2020-11-26 22:36:24 UTC

Blind faith in a messiah. 100% apt. @leftingfighter33

2020-11-26 22:36:26 UTC

@thebrodys and if you believe in christ as your savior, yet continue to be a sinner, what then?

2020-11-26 22:36:57 UTC

if you fail to follow his teachings, yet believe in him as savior?

2020-11-26 22:37:23 UTC

Jesus is in the Quran.. are muslims Christians in a way .

2020-11-26 22:37:36 UTC

no, they think he is a prophet. Not a savior.

2020-11-26 22:37:43 UTC

Only allah saves in islam.

2020-11-26 22:37:59 UTC

As a Christian, you still do sin. Sin is a constant battle. When I fall short of Christ’s teachings, I pray and ask him to help me follow his teachings and to help me turn away from my sins. It does not mean we continue to openly sin

2020-11-26 22:37:59 UTC

@thebrodys, you just advanced to level 4!

2020-11-26 22:38:32 UTC

@thebrodys you dont continue to openly sin, but you continue to sin. Then it is clandesite sin?

2020-11-26 22:38:37 UTC

Explains a lot.
