After some serious missteps last week and being mercilessly ridiculed (almost universally - did you see the SNL Cold Open???). I think that use to be the case. Some of the rulings as of late (except for maybe Roberts) have been very partisan. You can almost guess how each justice will rule based on which President nominated them.

Kennedy was, in my opinion, the least partisan Justice that has been on the Court in a long time.
