It's not all bad, when done that way. Every non-trivial software suite has vulnerabilities, and not every anomaly is all that important. When it comes to proprietary software, it's not expected that every minute detail, or every issue will bubble up to the customer-layer.

The problem comes up in cases like Equifax, who knew about their vulnerabilities back in February, but didn't act on them until October, well after nearly half the US was compromised.

Reporters from several of the mainstream media confirmed they were told that all counting was over for the night at 10:30 and would resume again in the morning. By one of the election supervisors.

The ballots and the table itself is placed there by the same woman who tells the observers to leave.

The last word from the SoS office that I heard was that no one told the watchers they were done.

So, with due respect @DrSammyD you are taking the watchers at their word. I have seen the caliber of witnesses trotted before the media by Team Trump at these "hearings" and I am not about to just take them at their word.

The supervisor that was questioned on all this said the boxes were heavy. That was somehow his excuse while he was scratching his head and looked extremely nervous

If you go back to some of the tweets put out Nov 3rd from major media reporters, they all confirmed AT THAT TIME that counting was stopped for the night. So it is verified by several other sources what the watchers were told.
