I mean if you vote on a paper ballot and you think the local citizens working there intentionally threw your vote away when they are passionate about the election system then theres no such thing as a safe vote 🤷
Every system must attribute some level of trust to administrators of the system
We've been talking about a possible mechanism for allowing a voter to check that their ballot tabulated as cast - while protecting their anonymity. Basically, you can be given a ballot ID and request from home to see that it was tabulated and how. Someone with access to the vote data would not be able to associate that ballot with you, though, which is important.

The main reason that is not in place is actually to reduce Voter/Election Fraud. Buying Votes. A receipt or Vote verification may be used for illegal purposes.
2.) There were people crying about election issues all through out the EV period and election day. Poll watchers and the sort are instructed to call a handful of different numbers in the event something shady is observed. What happens after that is not entirely clear in terms of training and the like. It's not surprising to me, then, that nothing really got in front of a judge/senate panel/whatever until solicitation of evidence on a public scale took place, with a clear path to reach either the Trump team, Powell, or Wood.

5.) I think you overestimate the simplicity with which someone can register to vote in some of these areas. One of the points I alluded to you missing was that in Wayne County, the addresses most frequently listed on voter registrations were things like homeless shelters, psychiatric wards, PO boxes, and ballot drop off locations themselves.
@TaLoN132 Of course it would make no logical sense to look for witnesses in places he already believed he had won. You could argue that a lot of the affidavits are related to confusion over the (new) processes (especially given the unprecedented number of mail-in ballots and switch to using machines, GA only had them for example since 2019) but again i don't think it requires a widespread conspiracy. There are several reasons not to come forward, as evidenced by the threats/doxing at the certification board. I am not sure you can discount the witnesses because they didn't inform them on the night or the day after, if you take that position you would have to discount a lot of witnesses in other cases. think there is a lot of information to support the ideas of mail-in ballots the most susceptible to fraud, widespread or not. most of the documented cases of voter fraud in the UK for example are using postal votes as the means.

Voting in person, the vote goes directly into the system. Voting by mail has to go through post box, then through postal system, then opened , then counted. There is simply more places for it to occur.
