by contract?

2020-11-16 22:46:08 UTC

I mean maybe ancapistan isn't even possible without as-of-yet-invented tech

2020-11-16 22:46:21 UTC

and when it is feasible, you get perfect machine judges

2020-11-16 22:46:24 UTC

and machine lawyers

2020-11-16 22:46:27 UTC

sorry Robert

2020-11-16 22:46:55 UTC

I am not an ancap because I am skeptical it is feasible right now

2020-11-16 22:47:00 UTC

Sure, but even in Ancapistan, selection of judges between parties not in contract with each-other will occur

2020-11-16 22:47:17 UTC

OK

2020-11-16 22:47:21 UTC

lets say

2020-11-16 23:12:12 UTC

So I select my judge, you select yours, They make a ruling. If they agree it's done, if they disagree, it goes to a 3rd judge who the judges have contracted with to resolve disagreements among judges.

2020-11-16 23:13:56 UTC

If the judges have no common judge between them, then somebody's ruling will get enforced. The one that's enforced will likely be the judge with a greater customer base.

2020-11-16 23:15:27 UTC

At that point, if the ruling against the person with the judge who has a smaller customer base is in violation of the NAP, I'm 100% ok with that.

2020-11-16 23:15:40 UTC

A primary example would be copyright law.

2020-11-16 23:16:33 UTC

Another example would be hacking and information theft, particularly of bitcoin private keys

2020-11-16 23:17:32 UTC

this is too much minutia 🙂

2020-11-16 23:19:00 UTC

Indeed. It boils down to the NAP self contradicts once you get into selection of judges. Either you force people to select judges who adhere to the NAP, which would violate the NAP, or you allow people to select judges who violate the NAP, which would violate the NAP.

2020-11-16 23:26:26 UTC

or this process can be in the contract

2020-11-16 23:26:38 UTC

which means you have to abide by the contract and nothing [done as part of the process] violates NAP?

2020-11-16 23:31:38 UTC

selection of judges between non contracted parties specifically

2020-11-16 23:32:20 UTC

there are many kinds of ancapism, I don't know how all of them are supposed to work

2020-11-16 23:32:47 UTC

but one of them explained to me works by jurisdiction (to enter you accept the judicial contracts)

2020-11-16 23:33:03 UTC

inter-jurisdiction stuff is sorted out by inter-jurisdiction agreements if any

2020-11-16 23:59:21 UTC

could use some exciting news 😄

2020-11-17 00:00:07 UTC

The dream team. Lol

2020-11-17 00:19:02 UTC

> but one of them explained to me works by jurisdiction (to enter you accept the judicial contracts)
@realz
That just moves the problem out 1 step of creating jurisdictional monopolies over any specific area.

2020-11-17 00:19:32 UTC

Then hell, we're just back to states

2020-11-17 00:20:36 UTC

mini states

2020-11-17 00:20:41 UTC

but yea

2020-11-17 00:20:53 UTC

And also, proving that I crossed a boarder

2020-11-17 00:21:12 UTC

one form of ancapism is basically just states that reduce all government to private contracts

2020-11-17 00:21:19 UTC

Trespass itself must be cross jurisdiction

2020-11-17 00:21:41 UTC

I only spoke about this briefly, so I can't talk for ancaps

2020-11-17 00:21:51 UTC

I can. I used to be one

2020-11-17 00:21:59 UTC

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2020-11-17 00:27:54 UTC

11k viewers, what caused the blow up??

2020-11-17 00:32:25 UTC

dunno but 👍

2020-11-17 01:03:52 UTC

evnin people

2020-11-17 01:04:10 UTC

The USA still exists, I see.

2020-11-17 01:04:14 UTC

Yeah
