@Zuluzeit, you just advanced to level 15!
My format looks much more bubbly like facebook
Nope. I suggested that he should be arrested, tried, convicted, and executed for treason.
like this?
@Whithers sounds like a reasonable statement that would not be construed as a call to violence
@RobertGrulerEsq Maybe it is the crossover that Senator Hawley was talking about 😉
You notice how the biden picture here looks like the Jeb! meme?
@ImNotGas, you just advanced to level 3!
It was not a call to violence. It was a call for due process. And I said the magic word "ought" not shall.
"may" not "Shall"
It is not like when you say the word "ought" you actually expect anything will ever be done about it. Like the govt. ought to have our best interest in mind. No one would expect that.
even if you said "Shall" I would no longer expect that the govt will do it
@RobertGrulerEsq We were discussing the other night in Election2020 the legality of having a voting system that allows a voter (assuming that it can be done securely while maintaining the relative anonymity of the voter in the raw data, which I am certain it can), the ability for voters to log into the states server and verify that the vote they submitted was tabulated as intended. I believe that one of the reasons for anonymity is to prevent vote buying and to prevent retaliations for having voted a way someone might not appreciate, but since people can take pictures of their mail-in ballot before putting it in the mail, wouldn't that be less of a concern. Just curious, because I think that would be a great check/balance for ensuring votes were not manipulated and it would bring peace of mind to many. Do you have an opinion on this, by chance?
ROFL
I'm not Robert but in terms of fixing the election process there are hundreds of simple steps that could be taken to be more transparent and less prone to fraud, but they will never get legislated, and even if they are, as you can see there is no punishment for people who ignore them
The secret ballot was brought here by the RNC in the late 1800's to stop people getting beaten near to death when they voted against the instructions of the neighborhood boss (Dem). Now, not being able to track the vote is nullifying our elections and if we could, the Dems would dox and harm the voter that didn't obey Antifa.
@ImNotGas To be fair, I imagine that a lot of things are in place of which we are ignorant or simply misunderstand. It's not a free for all.
Anonymity is why we the general public will never believe that.
@TaLoN132 yea I have a lot to say about it, not sure there is an easy answer. Any attempts to ensure "voter integrity" are met with claims of voter suppression.
I think both parties benefit from the current system
Which is why it won't change meaningfully
the establishment in both parties benefit
as they have the networks and connections in place to abuse the system
In Intel we used to say: In G-d we trust, all others we monitor. We'd monitor G-d if we knew how.
secret ballot is essential in any fair election
@ImNotGas js the intention of the setup is to take bad things out of play. It doesn't always benefit the same people, so everyone has a stake in it.
The corporatists, RNC and DNC are the problem. And they will sell this nation out in a heartbeat for profit.
That is why corporate RINO's aligned with DNC for this election.
theres no functional difference between biden and romney
only in the way they pander to their base
@RobertGrulerEsq Have you ever looked at total employment figures for the US?
I don't imagine it is as simple as any of us would conceive.
Well after the debacle this year, there might not be a better time to try.
That's true @TaLoN132
No I haven't @Whithers what do they show?
