i hate college
It’s because college is in many cases pleasure island
Only problem is that excitement and pleasure doesn’t equal happiness and life satisfaction
I am so glad I am done. I dread grad school. I wish I didn't have a useless meme degree that requires a lateral move for a masters to actually support a hypoyhetical future family.
What’s the degree
Natural resources mgmt
What are you planning on studying in grad school
Something similar but a bit more science (aka whatever will take me for a fellowship and give me the best deal- I refuse to take loan debt, and have avoided it so far)
@OttoVonBismarck ya I guess college would be pretty fun if you're taking an easy degree and either have massive debt or money from parents
party it up, regret it later
I’m not sure what would logically follow from that but you could try getting an mba
lol I am allergic to business
But thanks for the effort
Yeah stem majors are usually very stressed
I have a computer science major and a communications minor
communications was kinda fun
but now I only have computer science classes left
I bet those communications classes were killer
I'm taking an easy degree(history), and I've got all fees covered by the government. I still hate it though, it's so boring an dull.
Yeah in a lot of cases you’re better off going for a plumbing or electrical apprenticeship
not a meme degree, just not something that consumes my life
Computer science graduates from my school only make $49,000 median after one year so it's not like I'm gonna be super rich anyway
Yeah I have a friend doing computer science and it seems pretty difficult. Respect
At the risk of coming on to harsh...
I'd encourage most men in our movement to find ways to be self-employed.
I agree that people are usually happier but I think there are many people who don’t have entrepreneurial natures
Men included
It seems daunting, but in reality, it's not that hard.
Plus, with enough of us working with each other, forming our own circles of influence...
We can genuinely be like the Masons.
When they start trying to justify the assassination of South Africa's greatest-ever statesman by a communist, 56% non-entity, that's when muh Fourth Political Theory, left-right, anti-liberal Sputnik sammich kinda gets on my nerves: https://sputniknews.com/analysis/201901141071407589-apartheid-assassin-south-africa/
you seem like you have an above average IQ, so that might be easy for you to say @Nemets
The Masonic Question
for an actual dummy life probably isn't too easy
" left-right, anti-liberal"
lol that basically sums up my political views
my gpa is all over the place, one semester it's a 2.5 and then it's 3.9 the next semester
@Tyler0317 That is a part of my anxiety and lack of optimism. My degree (meh) and resume (actually pretty good) suit me for work in government agencies, private (leftish) non profits, or financially unsustainable work as an employee in fields that it is nearly impossible to be the boss.
I'm an economics major with two minors and a good GPA but I can't seem to find any internships or jobs that interest me. It doesn't help that I can't stand corporations
My school didn't even tell me my GPA for the semester, I had to figure it out myself
@Bjorn - MD Eh, to be fair, that's an opinion piece. Now, if they were exclusively giving space to shitty opinions, that would be a problem, but, they did give Patrick a really fair interview, so they could be genuinely trying to be balanced.
Some publications like to show both sides
I think Unz Review publishes both far left and far right stuff
I hear you.
I dropped out of college as a freshman(I was 30 yrs old and was too old to tolerate college) started a business, here I am over 2 yrs later and things are looking peachy career wise.
