To my grandmother, “horses” was “hearses”. Lol
Lol thats a riot
@Papa Pizzagate 👍. He does though, regrets it. Do you say youinz?
Also if he's a "yinzer" then I can totally guess his region aha
Whats youinz mean?
Nope, but know people who do!
Its pennsylvanian for yall
Oh ok
I just say you guys, but I like y'all
we were near WV yup
Yeah. Would have been my guess.
I always use y'all when speakinh to a group of guys and gals
South of Pittsburgh.
exactly Ian hah
Itd be more like hawses here
I've been to TX so many times that I adopted "y'all."
See, we're very diverse. Regional dialects abound.
You’ns is like the plural of y’all. A double plural
I know northerners who use y’all as a singular and it drives me bonkers
Youins or youiz would thro me
You'ns and yinz are still different though. Yinz is pronounced like "shins" and is hyper regional, hilariously so. Only like 4 counties in the world speak like they do.
Makin me feel like a stranger in my own country Ian
Fayette county
The only regionalism I can think. Of locally is that we're known for pronouncing "water" as "wudder"
But I think a lot of folks do that.
bag is pronounced as "beg" here
I always thought of it more as Wahder
I say wahder
Bostonian influence no doubt @SuperTomPerry -RI
Lol or more like wahda
@Papa Pizzagate undoubtedly
Or garbitch for garbage
"Gahbitch" or "faw" instead of "four"
Then theres my own mispronociation of bureau as brearah
My accent is an awful mix of Okie peppered with central Canadian. Very offputting
Oh one that kills my wife is i say Stear the soup and she says Stir the soup
I actually say "sOrry" without thinking about it
Lol i can hear that!
wooder
Is the central Canadian like I think it sounds? I’m hearing aboot and eh
