Not that one is more justified than the other but I wish more people knew about it

2019-02-24 03:41:52 UTC

@dillontheplumber You'll be fine, they're like twice a month

2019-02-24 03:42:14 UTC

It’s weird that I still feel odd talking about Jews even in this group. It’s such a risky topic

2019-02-24 03:42:24 UTC

@Jacob awesome thanks I’ll rock the purple name for a while longer

2019-02-24 03:43:05 UTC

@NITRODUBS Can't relate. My family *does not* like Jews.

2019-02-24 03:43:13 UTC

My mom likes Jews

2019-02-24 03:43:17 UTC

Brother not so much

2019-02-24 03:43:34 UTC

@Nemets LA is crazy. Spent a week in rural MN and then a week in LA. It was like going from an idillic farm town to Blade Runner universe in the span of 12 hours.

2019-02-24 03:43:35 UTC

I think my mom's side of the family is pretty apolitical on Jews

2019-02-24 03:43:48 UTC

Haven't met anyone from my dad's side of the family who had anything positive to say about them

2019-02-24 03:44:06 UTC

This isn't me edgeposting, because I'm not saying my own opinion, I'm just stating a fact

2019-02-24 03:44:22 UTC

Jews are just such a strange group, because even the atheist Jews have a strange superiority complex

2019-02-24 03:44:40 UTC

My own opinion is pretty much the same as the IE leadership sanctioned opinion

2019-02-24 03:44:50 UTC

Not saying that to suck up

2019-02-24 03:44:56 UTC

I genuinely agree with it

2019-02-24 03:45:07 UTC

what is the leadership sanctioned opinion

2019-02-24 03:45:24 UTC

I’d say my opinion is, anyone has the right to their own culture and people, but the jewish community has had a hard time establishing themselves as a group without trampling on others

2019-02-24 03:46:14 UTC

Well when everywhere you go you only function well as a small nepotistic out group in another’s society.

2019-02-24 03:46:47 UTC

@Nic-AL I have stuff to do so I'll try to explain it in short form. Jews are a group with a distinct identity from us who have separate group interests of their own. Jews are not automatically "bad", they're just not us.

2019-02-24 03:47:17 UTC

I see. thanks. @Jacob

2019-02-24 03:47:58 UTC

Someone can correct me if that wasn't a good enough summary, but I think that pretty much sums it up

2019-02-24 03:48:48 UTC

@NITRODUBS Do you remember what it was called?

2019-02-24 03:49:10 UTC

Gimme a second I’ll find it

2019-02-24 03:49:59 UTC

I think it’s called “one of us”

2019-02-24 03:50:01 UTC

Our issue with Jewish power, influence and elite is a spiritual issue imo

2019-02-24 03:50:13 UTC

But there was more than one documentary so I’m not too sure

2019-02-24 03:51:46 UTC

The Sugondese are the same way, they just can’t seem to live amongst others without developing a propensity towards a superiority complex.

2019-02-24 03:51:50 UTC

Its called Unorthodox?

2019-02-24 03:52:05 UTC
2019-02-24 03:52:48 UTC

@DixieBoy76 - KY The Chocoma tribe played a similar role among Native Americans prior to the arrival of European settlers

2019-02-24 03:54:15 UTC

Yes, renowned scholar on Native American anthropology and history Phil Dees did a great study on that.

2019-02-24 03:54:41 UTC

Let me see if I can find it for you @Jacob

2019-02-24 03:55:31 UTC

Thanks dude

2019-02-24 03:56:40 UTC

I’ll just DM it to you.

2019-02-24 04:21:51 UTC

@Matthias They could both be valid but one could refer to an ethnicity and the other to a nationality. "Bengali" and "Bangladeshi" are both valid, for example. I think it also works for some Central Asian countries, like "Uzbek" for the ethnicity and "Uzbekistani" for the nationality, but I'm not sure.

2019-02-24 04:22:50 UTC

Really?

2019-02-24 04:23:16 UTC

The Bengali one is definitely correct

2019-02-24 04:23:49 UTC

Wiki only lists Somali

Bangladesh is kind of a special case. Many ethnic Bengalis live outside Bangladesh, and I'm sure not everyone in Bangladesh is Bengali.
