I was of that same mindset, until I started seeing how destructive it has become to push other degeneracy (sorry Mrs Logan!).

2019-02-26 20:22:25 UTC

Marriage without the possibility of children isn't marriage. Gay marriage destroys the very concept.

2019-02-26 20:22:49 UTC

Infertility isn't the same thing. Could still adopt and have a mom and a dad.

2019-02-26 20:23:24 UTC

*Mfw African delegates are saving my church from allowing gay marriage*

2019-02-26 20:23:36 UTC

Bc marriage isn’t about love

2019-02-26 20:24:06 UTC

Why do I get a sweaty person

2019-02-26 20:24:08 UTC

its about legal protection and choice

2019-02-26 20:24:21 UTC

in practical terms i mean

2019-02-26 20:24:22 UTC

Choice 🤔

2019-02-26 20:24:36 UTC

its about furthering your political career

2019-02-26 20:25:04 UTC

@missliterallywho Choice meaning if something happens to your significant other, *you* can choose what happens.

2019-02-26 20:25:12 UTC

Not the govt or their family.

2019-02-26 20:25:50 UTC

Contacts other than marriage can also establish this kind of choice

2019-02-26 20:25:53 UTC

@VinceChaos @Lawrence of Eurabia v tru. Love is what comes out of similar ambitions and proximity. It isn't the main purpose.

If you are doing it right it will happen by itself.

2019-02-26 20:26:39 UTC

I didn't get married simply for legal reasons, btw. :-p
I'm just talking from a practical standpoint in current year.

2019-02-26 20:27:13 UTC

"Doc, I don't love my woofe any moore."
"Maybe she's a blue-pilled nerd. Fire her."

2019-02-26 20:28:06 UTC

My philosophy professor just referred to the MSM as maliciously ignorant.
I’m thriving

2019-02-26 20:28:19 UTC

@Asatru Artist - MD right, but just cos people do get married for legal reasons, or companionship reasons, doesn't mean that's the purpose/definition of marriage historically. As in all of human history until now (Christianity being rather recent)

2019-02-26 20:28:38 UTC

yeah

2019-02-26 20:28:40 UTC

Morality being divided from long term survival and instead fastened to arbitrary post enlightment ideals is the root problem imo.
Pursuit of happiness as a right -> GAY

2019-02-26 20:29:05 UTC

Even "civil unions" only became necessary, as people at the time saw it, because some companies were refusing to extend insurance and other benefits to, ahem, partners, and rather than taking the voluntarist route, and simply seeking out companies that would do business with them , they felt it necessary to flex and compel EVERYONE by ushering in the concept (of civil unions).

2019-02-26 20:30:06 UTC

Gotta have a default state religion or no religion, for all these complicated social ties to mean anything to everyone

2019-02-26 20:30:24 UTC

Idk how to say that more eloquently at the moment

2019-02-26 20:31:21 UTC

(Disclaimer I myself have no established religion)

2019-02-26 20:31:59 UTC

I don't like any religious laws being pushed because it will (and already has) allowed certain religions to use it against us.

2019-02-26 20:33:12 UTC

2 Abrahamic religions come to mind specifically...

2019-02-26 20:33:36 UTC

@missliterallywho Technically, that was pretty much a given from the Treaty of Westphalia to the American Revolution (a state religion in every principality, and later, nation-state). Wouldn't work for us at this point, but there was definitely some merit to it.

2019-02-26 20:33:37 UTC

(don't worry Christians, I'm not throwing shade at you)

2019-02-26 20:33:41 UTC

I have lot of thoughts on this since getting into medieval history recently but I don't want to get into tedious religious territory so I'll stop here.

2019-02-26 20:33:56 UTC

If you aren’t a Mithraic Mystic what are you even doing

2019-02-26 20:34:10 UTC
2019-02-26 20:34:52 UTC

@Bjorn - MD Yeah, I'm talking current year in a country that is (most likely) too far gone.

2019-02-26 20:39:16 UTC

Why does my church use Vimeo? Not opposed to it but just an interesting observation. They use it for uploading sermons and now livestreaming this national conference.

2019-02-26 20:40:52 UTC

Churches should use Venmo for tithing. The priest could be like “yo hit up my Venmo with that collection money” during sermon

2019-02-26 20:42:02 UTC

Lol I'm glad mine doesn't though.

2019-02-26 20:42:47 UTC

Churches should launch holy wars to acquire more wealth

2019-02-26 20:43:09 UTC

A black guy got up, in a conference about gay marriage, to mention blacks getting shot by the police, pay inequality, women/blacks not being appointed as church leaders. Who cares?

2019-02-26 20:44:56 UTC

It's kinda weird that churches can't get involved in politics too much, which knee-caps their political influence and gives imbalanced political influence to secular institutions.

2019-02-26 20:45:43 UTC

Its not weird when you realize athiestic quakerism is our state religion

2019-02-26 20:46:24 UTC

Its just a semi tolerant theocracy.
