2018-04-30 21:56:19 UTC

Paul Nehlen looks like he might be the next WI-1 Representative too

2018-04-30 21:56:28 UTC

I seriously doubt that

2018-04-30 21:57:13 UTC

He'll be lucky to get on the ballot with all of the shit that's gone on, he's even left Gab now.

2018-04-30 22:04:01 UTC

If a shitty Democrat runs against a solid Republican in OH-12, I can see us pulling off a victory

2018-04-30 22:09:22 UTC

Nah

2018-04-30 22:25:54 UTC

Yeah, actually.

2018-04-30 22:26:14 UTC

I think a Trump rally or two will help, and North Korea will also give us a good boost.

2018-04-30 22:28:37 UTC

Not sure the effect of a Trump rally in a district like this that has a lot of college degrees, but if stuff like NK ends up really turning into something with this summit and whatnot, this is a winnable district.

2018-04-30 22:28:43 UTC

What's the election day?

2018-04-30 22:30:06 UTC

you guys need to realize that the reason these swings are happening is partly a candidate vs candidate issue

2018-04-30 22:31:25 UTC

it's not just Democratic enthusiasm

for instance, the swing in Alabama was so large because of Moore's scandal

the one in PA-18 was because Lamb was specifically targetting the demographics based on issues they found important, same for AZ-08

Lamb and Tipirneni were the more hard working candidates

2018-04-30 22:31:34 UTC

there is no guarantee that the Democrat running in OH-12 will be the same

2018-04-30 22:34:26 UTC

What were the circumstances that caused whatever incumbent to resign?

2018-04-30 22:34:42 UTC

Because PA-18 and AZ-08 were both scandal based

2018-04-30 22:36:17 UTC

OH-12, the incumbent resigned to do this business thing

2018-04-30 22:36:20 UTC

not a scandal

2018-04-30 22:37:12 UTC

some people might want you to believe that the shifts have SOLELY been due to Democratic enthusiasm and Drumpf being 'bad'

2018-04-30 22:38:39 UTC

Alright so we can probably pull it off

2018-04-30 22:39:10 UTC

State Sen. Troy Balderson (R) and businesswoman Melanie Leneghan (R) have received the most political and financial support in the field of 10 Republican candidates. Defending Main Street spent $240,000 on a cable and digital ad buy to support Balderson in April 2018, while Leneghan rounded up endorsements from the House Freedom Caucus and Reps. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) and Jim Jordan (R-N.C.).

2018-04-30 22:39:15 UTC

Among the seven Democratic candidates, Franklin County Recorder Danny O'Connor (D) has been backed by party leaders in the state, including Reps. Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio) and Tim Ryan (D-Ohio).

2018-04-30 22:39:25 UTC

so the Democratic candidate is likely Danny O'Connor

2018-04-30 22:39:43 UTC

hmm

2018-04-30 22:41:52 UTC

"The 31-year-old Shelby County native has a bachelor's degree in political science from Wright State University and a law degree from Syracuse University. If elected, O'Connor would be younger than any currently serving member of Congress."

unless he has some severe flaws, not a good sign

2018-04-30 22:42:33 UTC

^male R candidate

2018-04-30 22:49:05 UTC

^female R candidate

2018-04-30 22:52:21 UTC

lol PredictIt has it at 50/50 right now

2018-04-30 22:55:45 UTC

"Trivia about the Ohio 12th district: according to Ballotpedia (https://ballotpedia.org/Ohi... the college graduation rate in this district is 37 %, the highest college graduation rate of all 16 Ohio congressional districts by a good margin. For another comparison, the college graduation rate in the Arizona 6th district (yesterday's special election) is 28 %. Why am I posting this - dunno, can't imagine how college graduation rate has anything to do with special elections :-)"

2018-04-30 23:20:10 UTC

I wonder what effect this will have

2018-04-30 23:25:00 UTC

Pretty big

2018-04-30 23:25:19 UTC

Millenials are major part of the Obama Coalition
