you had one doctor send a specimen to the lab and they dated it, and then this person told them it was a dinosaur bone, and the lab shut that person off from ever sending them anything else again
they are practicing scientism, not real science

an idea is only a hypothesis if it's formal, and falsifiable
they don't give a damn about science, or they care too much, either way, people often don't see the reason, or they are too compartmentalized.
