My whole thing is. Irons are your backups, if your dot goes down, you need to know how to use your Irons.

2020-05-08 17:30:43 UTC

anyone have any good advice on chem gear any places they bought from for gas masks gloves hoods and all that jazz

2020-05-08 17:30:45 UTC

So learn on Irons, then move to dots

2020-05-08 17:30:59 UTC

Oh uhhh, shit. One second Kai

2020-05-08 17:31:35 UTC

@Bogs_Bunny yea the sig Romeo is a decent low cost red dot.

When staying cheap Vortex and Primary arms are your best friend entry lvl red dots/prisms/LVPOs

2020-05-08 17:31:53 UTC

Guys my plates are almost here, I'm spying on the UPS man on their map lol

2020-05-08 17:31:58 UTC

I am big brother lol

2020-05-08 17:32:04 UTC

What ya get

2020-05-08 17:32:14 UTC

Shellback IV plates

2020-05-08 17:32:26 UTC

They shipped fast af, next day they were headed my way

2020-05-08 17:32:38 UTC

That reminds me I need to check the mail.

2020-05-08 17:33:07 UTC

Holosun makes good ones from what I hear

2020-05-08 17:34:46 UTC

And this one is basically just Israeli masks, but here.

2020-05-08 17:35:46 UTC

Just make sure you don't buy the shitty russian ones.

2020-05-08 17:37:11 UTC

i heard th russian gp-7 are ok

2020-05-08 17:37:29 UTC

You heard lies.

2020-05-08 17:39:55 UTC

Personally, the lowest one that I'd trust. Is the Israeli civilian mask. Just make sure you have a newer filter.

2020-05-08 17:39:58 UTC

If a red dot is an ‘aid’ then so are irons?
Why the fuck would we make shooters learn on a harder system, that is outdated? Irons fail too?

2020-05-08 17:41:46 UTC

Ehh, I dunno. It just seems better to have that understanding of how they work first, of course that's opinion and we don't have to agree 100%. But it's important to know both, whichever one you decide to start with, don't neglect the other.

2020-05-08 17:42:36 UTC

I would like optics with backup irons.. eventually. Getting a gun obviously comes first. My damn $1200 hasn't arrived yet.

2020-05-08 17:43:13 UTC

I genuinely think that learning irons *first* makes you a worse shooter with a red dot

2020-05-08 17:43:51 UTC

Thats what I run, red dot with offset irons
Incase I fuck up my redot somehow

2020-05-08 17:43:54 UTC

That's an interesting view... no idea why. I had zero problems moving to dot dots after irons, lol

2020-05-08 17:44:17 UTC

I only use offsets if I'm running a scope. I use flip ups otherwise.

2020-05-08 17:44:33 UTC

Offsets offer a higher chance of getting snagged on something or bumped.

2020-05-08 17:44:53 UTC

I have flip up but run a magifier

2020-05-08 17:45:18 UTC

Hell, if you have a micro dot you can put that on a 45 offset mount

2020-05-08 17:45:43 UTC

Training yourself to use multiple focal planes builds a habit of not being threat focused

2020-05-08 17:46:41 UTC

ACOG, offset T1, KAC backup, peq, OKW

2020-05-08 17:46:44 UTC

That Gucci wire lol

2020-05-08 17:46:57 UTC

What wire hanger you running lol

2020-05-08 17:47:15 UTC

A 3rd hole. That’s a work gun

2020-05-08 17:47:54 UTC

The military likes us to wire our optics down.

2020-05-08 17:48:30 UTC

@Sparrow i know the russian ones are obviously cheaply made and the gp-5 filters have asbestos but i mean would it still be safe to use the gp-7 as long as it seals? or is there a bigger problem with them that im missing

2020-05-08 17:48:46 UTC

Anybody have experience with Enola Gaye smoke grenades? Do they provide actual concealment?

2020-05-08 17:48:55 UTC

No that shits gay

2020-05-08 17:49:18 UTC

They *might* produce enough output for signaling

2020-05-08 17:49:20 UTC

The only enola gay smoke grenades that actually produce a decent level of smoke are their biggest ones, which are too cumbersome to carry
