I only buy 5.56, but to be able to run whatever if shit went down is a bonus

But after briefly reading up on it yeah its actually the better route for versatility

For a battle rifle it's the only way to go IMO

Now if you're building a specialty gun of some sort there are benefits to running a specific chamber

Some good guns in that price range are geissele, bcm, faxon, and midwest industries. Really 1800 will get you a hell of a lot of gun

Honestly get a BCM then spend money on ammo training and optics

Battle rifle... depending where you are do a 10.5 with a sba3 brace and have a paperwork free SBR with decent ballistics
