I don’t even have a helmet
Idek if I will until I build a “stationary” loadout
So I'm currently looking for companies that make quality AR's comparable to SOLGW in the price range of $1,000 to $1,800 (5.56 nato and preferably in stock)
Any suggestions? I was told sionics and BCM make quality rifles im just looking for more opinions

Lemme check prices, 1800 gets you a lot
You want that to include optic?
Help me out here guys. When did pouring synthetic motor oil and grease on your bcg become a thing, or did everyone but me know about it until two days ago?
Optics aren't a big deal for me right now, I'll get one down the road when I'm 100% comfortable with the platform and realistically don't need it
@normallydrunk it’s been a thing cheap people have done for awhile but it works well
I gotcha. Just got verbally face fucked for saying I've always just used remoil and that I should have been dunking my shit on Mobil 1 all these years. If remoil sucks, I'm completely open to recommendations for a better gun lube if y'all have any.
Remoil works but you need it every time
It evaporates
Grease is best in my opinion
Ok, thanks for being clear. That makes sense. What grease do you recommend?
Cherry balmz
Awesome. I'll pick some up and try it out and see how I like it. I appreciate the help.
Np, it’ll last you forever

@kalebdenden unfortunately they're all in 2.23 wylde
?
There’s nothing wrong with .223 wylde
You realize 223 wylde just means you can run .223 or 5.56 right?
That's all inuse in my rifles
*I use
223 wylde is one of the better options as opposed to favoring one or the other
Yup
Sorry excuse my ignorance, frankly I'm not familiar with it at all.
I only buy 5.56, but to be able to run whatever if shit went down is a bonus
All good, many think it's a special round
But after briefly reading up on it yeah its actually the better route for versatility
For a battle rifle it's the only way to go IMO
Now if you're building a specialty gun of some sort there are benefits to running a specific chamber
I personally just don't build guns not for war.. maybe someday I'll start collecting
I just want a rock solid "multi purpose" are hahaha nothing crazy special

Some good guns in that price range are geissele, bcm, faxon, and midwest industries. Really 1800 will get you a hell of a lot of gun
^
Honestly get a BCM then spend money on ammo training and optics
