So I'm currently looking for companies that make quality AR's comparable to SOLGW in the price range of $1,000 to $1,800 (5.56 nato and preferably in stock)

2020-05-13 00:17:31 UTC

Any suggestions? I was told sionics and BCM make quality rifles im just looking for more opinions

Lemme check prices, 1800 gets you a lot

2020-05-13 00:22:50 UTC

You want that to include optic?

2020-05-13 00:25:27 UTC

Help me out here guys. When did pouring synthetic motor oil and grease on your bcg become a thing, or did everyone but me know about it until two days ago?

2020-05-13 00:26:00 UTC

Optics aren't a big deal for me right now, I'll get one down the road when I'm 100% comfortable with the platform and realistically don't need it

2020-05-13 00:27:00 UTC

@normallydrunk it’s been a thing cheap people have done for awhile but it works well

2020-05-13 00:28:58 UTC

I gotcha. Just got verbally face fucked for saying I've always just used remoil and that I should have been dunking my shit on Mobil 1 all these years. If remoil sucks, I'm completely open to recommendations for a better gun lube if y'all have any.

2020-05-13 00:29:37 UTC

Remoil works but you need it every time

2020-05-13 00:29:41 UTC

It evaporates

2020-05-13 00:29:51 UTC

Grease is best in my opinion

2020-05-13 00:30:38 UTC

Ok, thanks for being clear. That makes sense. What grease do you recommend?

2020-05-13 00:31:53 UTC

Cherry balmz

2020-05-13 00:33:08 UTC

Awesome. I'll pick some up and try it out and see how I like it. I appreciate the help.

2020-05-13 00:33:21 UTC

Np, it’ll last you forever

All in stock on rainier arms

2020-05-13 00:46:50 UTC

@kalebdenden unfortunately they're all in 2.23 wylde

2020-05-13 00:47:37 UTC

?

2020-05-13 00:47:58 UTC

There’s nothing wrong with .223 wylde

2020-05-13 00:53:03 UTC

You realize 223 wylde just means you can run .223 or 5.56 right?

2020-05-13 00:53:15 UTC

That's all inuse in my rifles

2020-05-13 00:53:22 UTC

*I use

2020-05-13 00:54:09 UTC

223 wylde is one of the better options as opposed to favoring one or the other

2020-05-13 00:54:21 UTC

Yup

2020-05-13 00:54:24 UTC

Sorry excuse my ignorance, frankly I'm not familiar with it at all.

2020-05-13 00:54:45 UTC

I only buy 5.56, but to be able to run whatever if shit went down is a bonus

2020-05-13 00:55:04 UTC

All good, many think it's a special round

2020-05-13 00:55:05 UTC

But after briefly reading up on it yeah its actually the better route for versatility

2020-05-13 00:56:30 UTC

For a battle rifle it's the only way to go IMO

2020-05-13 00:57:04 UTC

Now if you're building a specialty gun of some sort there are benefits to running a specific chamber

2020-05-13 00:57:43 UTC

I personally just don't build guns not for war.. maybe someday I'll start collecting

2020-05-13 00:59:42 UTC

I just want a rock solid "multi purpose" are hahaha nothing crazy special

2020-05-13 00:59:49 UTC

AR*

2020-05-13 01:00:09 UTC

Some good guns in that price range are geissele, bcm, faxon, and midwest industries. Really 1800 will get you a hell of a lot of gun

2020-05-13 01:00:26 UTC

^

2020-05-13 01:00:45 UTC

Honestly get a BCM then spend money on ammo training and optics

2020-05-13 01:00:47 UTC

Battle rifle... depending where you are do a 10.5 with a sba3 brace and have a paperwork free SBR with decent ballistics

2020-05-13 01:00:56 UTC

Anything better won’t help you atm
