I ask because I'm looking for less copy paste knowledge and more practical experience with them

2020-05-12 21:27:19 UTC

Phosphate is tough and cost efficient. But harder to clean and requires more lube.
Black Nitride is basically better in every way but more expensive.
Nickle Boron is the best, also more expensive, and also shiny

2020-05-12 21:28:31 UTC

My personal favorite is Black Nitride, it's tough, doesn't require as much lube as Phosphate, and doesn't have the shine of the Nickle Boron, which can give your position away better.

2020-05-12 21:33:01 UTC

There are more kinds out there too, but those are the most common.

2020-05-12 21:38:32 UTC

Okay, thanks

2020-05-12 21:43:17 UTC

@Crye_Salesman I don’t remember at the moment the exact reasons but I was told by some SOTAR guys that NiB was discovered to be shite, do you know the reasoning?

2020-05-12 22:06:09 UTC

Is making the change to a free float handguard vs delta ring worth a hundred bucks?

2020-05-12 22:13:13 UTC

LITERALLY a night and day difference

2020-05-12 22:18:55 UTC

It helps that much with accuracy?

2020-05-12 22:23:09 UTC

@[LA] Zoomer Medi/k/ NiB doesn’t retain lubricant like phosphate does, your rifle will shed lube much faster

2020-05-12 22:23:42 UTC

And the slick carrier won’t actually run any better so, it’s actually less reliable over time

2020-05-12 23:13:48 UTC

I just use nitride because it seems to be durable and very common

2020-05-12 23:15:51 UTC

Oh you forgot the best one.
TiN bcg's force everyone to drop what they're doing and admire your flex even though it costs about the same

2020-05-12 23:21:00 UTC

Nothing says flex like spending 2-3 times the price for parts because they're from a brand that literally no one but airsofters have heard of.

2020-05-12 23:59:59 UTC

@EDDSkitz you use peltors with your kit?

2020-05-13 00:00:09 UTC

Yeah, comtac III's

2020-05-13 00:00:38 UTC

Single com, but there's a guy that makes dual com PTT'S for single com radios

2020-05-13 00:00:47 UTC

JCI Comms on Facebook

2020-05-13 00:00:47 UTC

I’ve got the dual comms

2020-05-13 00:01:02 UTC

But I was planning on putting one 2 pin and one 3 pin

2020-05-13 00:01:13 UTC

6 pin*

2020-05-13 00:01:34 UTC

Yeah

2020-05-13 00:01:44 UTC

I almost did duals

2020-05-13 00:02:24 UTC

I've been thinking of switching to the Opscore AMPs but damn are they expensive

2020-05-13 00:02:44 UTC

Are they better?

2020-05-13 00:02:51 UTC

I found mine salty for 315

2020-05-13 00:02:59 UTC

I bought new

2020-05-13 00:03:16 UTC

Yeah the amps are way better, but like 1400

2020-05-13 00:03:41 UTC

Holy shit

2020-05-13 00:06:16 UTC

Super Gucci operator shit though

2020-05-13 00:06:48 UTC

The way they attach to the helmet is dope though

2020-05-13 00:08:27 UTC

I don’t even have a helmet

2020-05-13 00:08:45 UTC

Idek if I will until I build a “stationary” loadout

2020-05-13 00:16:25 UTC

So I'm currently looking for companies that make quality AR's comparable to SOLGW in the price range of $1,000 to $1,800 (5.56 nato and preferably in stock)

2020-05-13 00:17:31 UTC

Any suggestions? I was told sionics and BCM make quality rifles im just looking for more opinions

2020-05-13 00:22:24 UTC

Daniel defense

2020-05-13 00:22:44 UTC

Lemme check prices, 1800 gets you a lot

2020-05-13 00:22:50 UTC

You want that to include optic?

2020-05-13 00:25:27 UTC

Help me out here guys. When did pouring synthetic motor oil and grease on your bcg become a thing, or did everyone but me know about it until two days ago?
