Morals define murder.

I genuinely can’t comprehend how anyone could pick up an abrahamic/biblical text and genuinely find them to be compelling enough to base their entire world view on

Clearly I don't think everyone has to believe in a God. But religion defines morals. Without it, what is good, and what is bad?

Religion is completely unnecessary to establish morality

Religion gives terms, phrases, and structure to morals, it doesnt create it itself

I don’t need the Bible or commandments to know murder and envy is bad.

The majority of it is nurture - what you see and are taught.

Religion can be the catalyst of that for sure

If you are basing your entire morality on religion, you don’t *actually* possess morality, you are just instructed that you will be punished for not following the rules.

I'm a practicing Mormon. Our pioneers got double penetrated by the feds on the regular, so they loaded up their guns and moved west so they could keep tearing it up. That resonates with me 🙏

my dad's ex-mormon, my uncle is a mormon bishop. i will respect mormons themselves and their practice, but the organization of the LDS is absolutely a cult.
