What's the relevance?

2019-05-02 00:55:34 UTC

and therefore the most mentally ill

2019-05-02 00:55:36 UTC

It's a correlation

2019-05-02 00:55:40 UTC

not a causation

2019-05-02 00:55:45 UTC

Whats the relevance of race?

2019-05-02 00:55:46 UTC

If that's even true

2019-05-02 00:55:57 UTC

Well that's easy

2019-05-02 00:55:57 UTC

GG @lemonsaw, you just advanced to level 2!

2019-05-02 00:55:58 UTC

You can't attribute it to melanin even if its true.

2019-05-02 00:56:05 UTC

Or whatever phenotypic traits you want.

2019-05-02 00:56:09 UTC

Why do we have affirmative action then

2019-05-02 00:56:25 UTC

We allow certain races to be prioritized in the education system

2019-05-02 00:56:27 UTC

Because black people were disadvantaged in America on the basis of their race.

2019-05-02 00:56:36 UTC

But if intelligence was based on genetics

2019-05-02 00:56:46 UTC

Doesn't mean that it's a legitimate scientific category.

2019-05-02 00:56:47 UTC

It can be

2019-05-02 00:56:48 UTC

that would prove it's not caused by their disadvange

2019-05-02 00:56:59 UTC

but by their genes

2019-05-02 00:57:00 UTC

No you can have it be both enviromental

2019-05-02 00:57:04 UTC

and genetic.

2019-05-02 00:57:04 UTC

Yes

2019-05-02 00:57:10 UTC

but a high genetic percentage

2019-05-02 00:57:14 UTC

In early years, your IQ is more dependent on environmental factors than genetic factors.
So if black people are more often born in poorer areas with lower access to good education, then they are developing in low IQ areas.
But if white people are more commonly born in wealthier areas, with great access to education, public or private, then their IQs are inherently going to be higher.

But post brain development, past 27 years old, then the genetics of your brain makeup take the driver seat in your IQ.

2019-05-02 00:57:17 UTC

such as 60-80% which was claimed earlier

2019-05-02 00:57:19 UTC

the environment also influences IQ.

2019-05-02 00:57:33 UTC

Please provide me a study that says its 60-80% genetic.

2019-05-02 00:57:42 UTC

Scroll up.

2019-05-02 00:57:43 UTC

It's a claim from Fetty

2019-05-02 00:57:53 UTC

From an Indian Neurosurgeon.

2019-05-02 00:57:56 UTC

Mr. Oomman.

2019-05-02 00:58:00 UTC

I'm just saying what it would mean IF it was true

2019-05-02 00:58:02 UTC

Dr. Oomman actually.

2019-05-02 00:58:25 UTC

It would mean policies such as affirmative action are irrelevant

2019-05-02 00:58:30 UTC

Sure but its perfectly possible to have environment influence ones genetics

2019-05-02 00:58:50 UTC

You'll see it repeated that genetics take a stronger effect on IQ than environmental effects. Some studies in twins say so, I read. But again this is all in the adult years.

2019-05-02 00:58:51 UTC

which would then in turn influence ones IQ

2019-05-02 00:59:35 UTC

They work together. Environmental affects and genetics.

2019-05-02 00:59:58 UTC

From what I've understood @Yiddlemethisgoyim

2019-05-02 01:00:12 UTC

Studies take twins which are very genetically similar

2019-05-02 01:00:30 UTC

They follow they growth through different environments

2019-05-02 01:00:48 UTC

And it seems from some studies that the environment did not have such an influence
