That guy matched up the description, and the scratching and cuts on his arms and legs from running through thick brush, added to that the coincidence of no ID and being rather new in the area, lol jeez... If it was me, I would have had him taken to the station to verify. An honest tax paying citizen, if innocent caught up in those very specific circumstances would have understood perfectly fine, and would not have minded to prove someone wrong. But yeah, quite shameful how gullible people can be.
