Right but there are plenty of people who actually believe the whole Russiagate conspiracy.

2018-04-14 16:57:36 UTC

savages

2018-04-14 16:59:36 UTC

The mental gymnastics are crazy now. >Trump is attacking Syria which might start WWIII with Russia to distract people from his lawyer because he collided with Russia to help him get elected president

2018-04-14 16:59:40 UTC

🤔

2018-04-14 17:00:27 UTC

well if you're in the mindset that Trump is an unstable narcissistic crazy person

2018-04-14 17:00:31 UTC

that wouldn't be that weird

2018-04-14 17:00:48 UTC

the fact people think a person like that would make it that far is insane though

2018-04-14 17:02:21 UTC

@Arch-Fiend its not a "war" because it has not been declared so by... is it congress? the house? one of those. But that means nothing because some law change a while ago, around Vietnam or Korea, sometime around there, basically meant the president could do military action without it being "war"

2018-04-14 17:02:49 UTC

instead its now just using military weapons to destroy things we don't like in "insignificant" countries.

2018-04-14 17:03:08 UTC

in other words, so long as you are not bombing a country "who matters" its not really war evidently

2018-04-14 17:04:54 UTC

The way I see it is it becomes war when both sides start attacking each other.

2018-04-14 17:05:07 UTC

pretty much boils down to "Its not a war because we say its not" 😛

2018-04-14 17:05:17 UTC

and when there is more than 2 sides, i believe its called a cluster fuck

2018-04-14 17:05:23 UTC

and yes, exactly

2018-04-14 17:05:35 UTC

it becomes war when theres an actual declaration of war by whatever side makes it to record history

2018-04-14 17:05:43 UTC

well, because we say its not and because no one else says it is

2018-04-14 17:06:19 UTC

basically if no one really important gives enough of a shit to call it an official war, then its not

2018-04-14 17:07:13 UTC

which is why i doubt the syrian thing will result in more than syria being levelled in a US-Russia pissing match of "we dislike what you are doing here but don't give a shit enough to call this a real war."

2018-04-14 17:08:20 UTC

i really don't think Russia or the US really have the balls to declare a real war. It much easier for them to just piss each-other off in a passive agressive way.

2018-04-14 17:09:01 UTC

Especially over something as trivial as Syria.

2018-04-14 17:09:36 UTC

the only problem is that passive aggressive on the scales of countries so large as the US and Russia it involves actual aggression.

2018-04-14 17:10:04 UTC

but when, in the last like 30 years, has the US and Russia not been doing this exact same shit all the time?

2018-04-14 17:10:14 UTC

To be fair, Missiles Launched isn't exactly passive.

2018-04-14 17:11:30 UTC

"passive" in terms of not out right declaring war or attacking mainlands. Basically if there is not missiles landing in the US, Canada, the EU, Japan, Korea, or China, its passive aggressive.

2018-04-14 17:13:01 UTC

Although I supported him, missile launches on Syria was not what I voted for Trump for, and really wish he'd stop...

2018-04-14 17:13:34 UTC

did you really think he would be more than a man child?

2018-04-14 17:14:03 UTC

I mean, Hillary was actively courting war in Syria as well

2018-04-14 17:14:11 UTC

Trump wasn't at election time

2018-04-14 17:14:39 UTC

lets face it, trump didn't win, hillary lost.

2018-04-14 17:14:47 UTC

I mean, kinda true.

2018-04-14 17:15:08 UTC

Trump campaigned better according to the rules of the election

2018-04-14 17:15:19 UTC

in a certain light, sure

But he did beat all the conventional republicans

2018-04-14 17:15:29 UTC

That, as well.

2018-04-14 17:17:11 UTC

its not really hard to beat trump, but you need to basically hate both sides to do it and have a spine.

2018-04-14 17:17:24 UTC

the have a spine part is the hard part.

2018-04-14 17:17:44 UTC

given most politicians are invertebrates

2018-04-14 17:17:49 UTC

You underestimate the power of the Republican and Democrat parties.

2018-04-14 17:18:45 UTC

Particularly in the Democrat party, someone who openly hates the Democrat party can never get the nod, due to the system that decides that.

2018-04-14 17:19:22 UTC

And to members of the Republican party, the GOP has a meaning to them, even if their members don't reflect that meaning

2018-04-14 17:19:40 UTC

Basically, a change has to come from within

2018-04-14 17:19:58 UTC

Trump was supposed to be that change
