I am currently reading "Das Capital", I have read some other literature from Frederick Engels and probably Marx. I can tell you that if someone only reads "The Communist Manifesto" (I have read it) they have no clue whatsoever about what Marx or Frederick really wanted. For starters "The Communist Manifesto" is short, extremely short, 30 pages (60 but tiny pages and huge text font) and that is a summary of thousands of pages from literature and the impression it gives is pretty horrible. In "The Communist Manifesto" they say "We want to abolish the family", however, it is very out of context. A much better summary in todays world (considering that time periods also give contexts and I have no idea how it was back then) would be "We want all kids, regardless of parents or background, to have the same opportunities".
If you meet someone who likes "The Communist Manifesto" but hasn't read any other literature from Engels or Marx or done research or reading about it, you can almost be 100% that it is a mad/brainwashed person
And what I wrote could be misinterpreted so if you gonna get anything from it then get the point, gonna need to add 1 page of text to make sure there is reasonable little misrepresentation of my example
Sorry for wall of text, have memes
That Australian nurse thing broke a few weeks ago, didn't it?
WOW!
How majestic.
Checkmate Atheists!
Checkmate Alt-Right!
When you realize that's likely no coincidence, and that the logo likely predates the movie but postdates the book.
Check out the source - 1915. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Socialist_Party_of_America_-_Logo.gif
Some people read 1984 and think it is a cautionary tale. Other read it and see it as a guidebook
Id say the same about rules for radicals
So, that would mean that the handshaking logo has been a socialist logo before even 1984 was written.
The thing is, Leftists actually think they're the heroes in 1984. Somehow they miss the English Socialism aspect and assume it to be fascism.
I know this from experience with leftists.
The Nazis weren't the first ones to use the Swastika to mean longevity, but people who still use it aren't looked on favorably.
At least not in the US. Even the National Socialist Movement changed it's logo from the Swastika.
Litteral Nazis don't use the Nazis icon.
I do like Kyle.
Look just because their toasters kill people, doesn't mean they don't make good toast.
Also just because they make munitions doesn't mean they use the things. Kyle is special sometimes.
I do, too, Poppy.
Don't get me wrong, I marvel at the ingenuity of weapons manufacture. I love going to the air show and seeing the most advanced killing machines ever constructed. Then I sit back and thank Bog I'm not in Iraq.
Death delivered from 30,000 feet.
Okay, but they don't JUST make weapons.
I know. And I know alot of good comes out of the R&D but still, let's not say they are curing cancer.
They make radars, they make communication equipment, they don't cyber security contracting. They do all kinds of non violent things.
R&D is the only thing that war is for tbh
I don't know about that. I think war makes the R&D go faster, I don't know if it's always good for it.
It just directs it.
Yes, from the military budget. It is being doen to make killing ppl easier.
I almost got hired by Raytheon to do cyber security for a healthcare organization.
I don't. With out having a hoard of ppl at your gate scream for your death you wont think of somethings.
They don't just do stuff for the military.
