A clone might have a completely different perspective on life and personality if they had different lives as children

2018-11-02 15:02:11 UTC

That is how identical twins work, I believe, yes.

2018-11-02 15:02:15 UTC

The DNA of a fertilized egg is different from that of the mother and father

2018-11-02 15:02:28 UTC

Therefor its human life

2018-11-02 15:03:12 UTC

Just becuase it requires the mother to get to be self sustaining does not mean it's a part of the mother

2018-11-02 15:04:32 UTC

By that metric, could I take some of my muscle tissue and rearrange the genetic structure to create a new human life?

2018-11-02 15:06:43 UTC

An egg and sperm cell does not have DNA that is different from which the cell originates.

2018-11-02 15:06:53 UTC

@Bookworm probably close to most people here, something to be avoided at all possible but conflicted. Which is why i'm interested in when life that is considered full human starts.

2018-11-02 15:07:29 UTC

I consider it on conception

2018-11-02 15:07:31 UTC

"Just becuase it requires the mother to get to be self sustaining does not mean it's a part of the mother"

but that does make it a parasite

2018-11-02 15:07:50 UTC

Never said it wasn't?

2018-11-02 15:08:02 UTC

I'm sorry, Grenade, I was asking your position on when life began. What are you talking about when you're saying something is to be avoided if at all possible?

2018-11-02 15:08:05 UTC

It acts as a parasite would

2018-11-02 15:08:06 UTC

no, but if i have the choice to attach a parasite, why do i lose the choice to remove it?

2018-11-02 15:08:53 UTC

@Bookworm story, this started on abortion. and i believe abortion is not a form of birth control

2018-11-02 15:09:07 UTC

Becuase you dont have the choice to attach one

2018-11-02 15:09:11 UTC

although avoiding creating human life at all possible would solve all human problems

2018-11-02 15:09:18 UTC

can't have human problems without humans.

2018-11-02 15:09:18 UTC

I supppose by a strict definition yes (though one could argue the part of 'at the host's expense').

2018-11-02 15:09:41 UTC

As I stated earlier, having sex is like signing a contract

2018-11-02 15:09:45 UTC

Going offline soon, see you when I can.

2018-11-02 15:09:57 UTC

If the girl gets pregnant than you have a baby

2018-11-02 15:10:08 UTC

you have the choice to attach a parasite. you can take a leech and let it attach.

2018-11-02 15:10:23 UTC

having sex is that same choice, although it includes making the leech too.

2018-11-02 15:10:49 UTC

now, a leech can live without a host, a developing human cannot.

2018-11-02 15:10:58 UTC

Having sex is not attaching a parasite

2018-11-02 15:11:02 UTC

well, not until about 7 months anyway (or was it 6?)

2018-11-02 15:11:07 UTC

Its signing a contract

2018-11-02 15:11:38 UTC

Even then, Grenade, a human is dependant on aid for its survival for at least several years, and usually far longer.

2018-11-02 15:11:49 UTC

yes, but it doesn;t require the mother

2018-11-02 15:11:54 UTC

specifically, the mothers body

2018-11-02 15:12:08 UTC

you can pass it around to other people

2018-11-02 15:12:48 UTC

which is why i think the ability to transplant fetus, and artificial wombs, would solve the problem. Fetus doesn't die, women gets to remove a parasite

2018-11-02 15:13:12 UTC

My point being having sex signs a contract that if a baby were to happen then you must take responsibility

2018-11-02 15:13:34 UTC

You dont consent to the baby

2018-11-02 15:13:34 UTC

That seems congruous with current social norms.

2018-11-02 15:13:41 UTC

well, then you believe you can sign away the rights to your body

2018-11-02 15:13:54 UTC

You consent to contract of life if you decide to partake in sex

2018-11-02 15:13:55 UTC

and cannot take those rights back ever

2018-11-02 15:14:01 UTC

until the contract is through

2018-11-02 15:14:12 UTC

Yes, that would be the point of a contract.
