The draft is BS anyways

2018-11-17 18:37:32 UTC

It is but I doubt you can make it go away.

2018-11-17 18:38:10 UTC

At least removing sex with draftee or something means you can bribe people to get out of it. Easier than going to Canada.

2018-11-17 18:38:50 UTC

@DrYuriMom looks like we might have found a middle ground then.

2018-11-17 18:38:52 UTC

I identify as a non draftable gender

2018-11-17 18:39:12 UTC

You and basically everyone

2018-11-17 18:39:37 UTC

XD mood

2018-11-17 18:39:54 UTC

Aren't men denied the right to vote and such until they sign up for the draft

2018-11-17 18:40:16 UTC

I read that on some right wing Tumblr meme

2018-11-17 18:40:47 UTC

I was too β€œsmart” for my own good, so I was placed in the Royal Signal regiment.

2018-11-17 18:41:29 UTC

@Pendell it would be more accurate to say you sign up for the draft when you register to vote.

2018-11-17 18:41:39 UTC

And what if you just
Don't.

2018-11-17 18:41:49 UTC

I think you default in when you turn 18 and get a license.

2018-11-17 18:42:00 UTC

If you refuse to sign up for the draft can you get any of those things

2018-11-17 18:42:04 UTC

Basically if you register anything with the government after 18, you are added to the draft.

2018-11-17 18:42:34 UTC

So you have to sign up for the draft to get those things, essentially.
If you want to not be included in the draft, you cannot have those things.

2018-11-17 18:44:21 UTC

by law i think any male US citizen is signed up to the draft once they hit 18

2018-11-17 18:44:30 UTC

i don't really recall any way to really avoid it

2018-11-17 18:45:00 UTC

except by avoiding the government all together so its harder for them to find you

2018-11-17 18:46:26 UTC

2018-11-17 18:46:38 UTC

Not cool

2018-11-17 19:20:07 UTC

Its important to know sex for DNA testing in crimes. If cops find male DNA at crime scene, but license says female someone might get dismissed incorrectly.

2018-11-17 19:20:59 UTC

a rare scenario for sure, but still.

2018-11-17 19:52:20 UTC

@grant exact opposite problem still happens if witnesses say they saw someone who looked female but only evidence they found says male.

2018-11-17 19:54:10 UTC

Sure, but lets just add to that problem.

2018-11-17 19:57:29 UTC

It doesn't add to the problem

2018-11-17 19:58:00 UTC

If you look at my proposed solution, it should prevent that lazy police work

2018-11-17 19:58:11 UTC

Androgen insensitivity syndrome. Born female phenotype but male genotype

2018-11-17 19:59:21 UTC

Also, if you have DNA, then you should be getting that person dna to try and rule them out of other potential dna samples found @ @grant.

2018-11-17 19:59:35 UTC

One thing I found published by the American Intersex Association claims one in one hundred Americans are born Intersex (various conditions)

2018-11-17 20:00:27 UTC

So one in one hundred are truely non-binary, the rest well this is the debate channel

2018-11-17 20:00:27 UTC

That'd be a whole lot of Americans.

2018-11-17 20:00:29 UTC

If I remember right there was some info showing they manipulated that number to be larger than it should be.

2018-11-17 20:01:19 UTC

Cops don't just DNA everybody. they DNA top suspects. Person whos legal ID says they don't match the gender would probably be ruled out before then.

2018-11-17 20:01:27 UTC

Pendell, they list about fifty conditions that make someone "Intersex" so that is an in total number.

2018-11-17 20:02:00 UTC

You 'd have to retrain all police to know sex on id cards no longer mean anything

2018-11-17 20:02:04 UTC

@grant except why would they be looking at Id for the sex and not the name?

2018-11-17 20:02:43 UTC

And how often would that be a problem?

2018-11-17 20:03:52 UTC

Hey, look at that I already covered that when I made my first statement: *a rare scenario for sure, but still.*

2018-11-17 20:04:12 UTC

Subject a small portion of the population to more problems because of an even smaller subset of that population might cause problems?

2018-11-17 20:04:29 UTC

Or use my solution which is remove it from IDs entirely
