Giving them the ability to be armed yes.

2018-02-16 23:36:51 UTC

Don’t have to force them.

2018-02-16 23:37:19 UTC

In that case, you're removing at least one penal code from the state

2018-02-16 23:37:32 UTC

so I has no issue

2018-02-16 23:39:11 UTC

It sounds fucked up to say, but I am more OK with random spurious lunatics losing it than I am with giving up the rights enumerated in the constitution of the US

2018-02-16 23:39:23 UTC

I'd of course, rather they be stopped

2018-02-16 23:39:35 UTC

but I don't want to go down the thoughtcrime path

2018-02-16 23:39:37 UTC

Where I live we have security guards at all schools, some teachers have personal weapons, and in general lots of people walk around with military grade weapons (which are allowed in schools). Can’t recall ever having a school shooting so guns aren’t the problem.

2018-02-16 23:40:06 UTC

Yeah, there are like a handful of states/municipalities that allow it afaik

2018-02-16 23:40:24 UTC

Here in the social justice capital of the united states however, that's a big nono

2018-02-16 23:41:14 UTC

Frisco?

2018-02-16 23:41:15 UTC

The problem with armed security is the cost

2018-02-16 23:41:36 UTC

And that in public schools it would be taxpayers money

2018-02-16 23:42:02 UTC

Better to spend it on security than stupid social programs.

2018-02-16 23:42:10 UTC

Bray areayylmao only

2018-02-16 23:42:14 UTC

not SF

2018-02-16 23:42:18 UTC

(Thankfully)

2018-02-16 23:42:50 UTC

Just cut wasteful expenses and start funding security (also creates new jobs).

2018-02-16 23:43:18 UTC

actually most campuses already have security

2018-02-16 23:43:33 UTC

But really, I think one gaurd and only the main entrance unlocked to the outside might have helped. If there was a button that trigger an internal lockdown and the procedure of "if you see a person with a fucking long gun, press button first ask questions later", it might have helped some

2018-02-16 23:43:37 UTC

they just aren't armed at all

2018-02-16 23:44:01 UTC

Security might as well not be security if they aren’t armed.

2018-02-16 23:44:08 UTC

red alert button might be good but

2018-02-16 23:44:16 UTC

I dunno how effective it'll be

2018-02-16 23:44:33 UTC

Everyone armed to the teeth

2018-02-16 23:44:37 UTC

students, teachers

2018-02-16 23:44:40 UTC

janitors

2018-02-16 23:44:43 UTC

Well, it's better than letting a dude pull a fire alarm and wait for his victims to come running

2018-02-16 23:44:51 UTC

the principal with a deagle brand deagle

2018-02-16 23:44:58 UTC

A nun that happened to be there

2018-02-16 23:45:07 UTC

I still question how a dude with a long gun gets into a school unnoticed

2018-02-16 23:45:25 UTC

Can take it apart and put it into a bag.

2018-02-16 23:45:38 UTC

Then assemble in the bathroom or something.

2018-02-16 23:46:34 UTC

Did he actually have a standard non-sbr upper?

2018-02-16 23:46:41 UTC

I have not seen dick pix

2018-02-16 23:47:30 UTC

Because he could have just bought a 11.4 or 10" upper and illegally slapped it on his rifle lower

2018-02-16 23:47:40 UTC

it's not like those components are restricted

2018-02-17 13:54:24 UTC

"Dutch Intelligence and Security Services Act referendum 2018"
(Tapping Law to give General Intelligence and Security Service sweeping surveillance powers)
https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Dutch_Intelligence_and_Security_Services_Act_referendum,_2018
"Although a referendum will be held, the government has indicated it plans for the law to nevertheless to go into effect on 1 May 2018."

2018-02-17 14:04:48 UTC

Yeah, they basically openly stated that the result of the referendum doesn't matter, they'll ignore any 'no' result.
